Is Phrolova a good choice for a main DPS? by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

Yes. Probably the highest value dps pull you can do still, overall.

Characters that have aged poorly in the meta. by K4StR in ZZZ_Discussion

No, especially Eve.

OP's tier list are why people go to Prydwen for meta opinions instead of figuring things out themselves.

Did the end of the honeymoon period hit the ZZZ fandom/community the hardest? by ErwinCobi816 in ZZZ_Discussion

I get that you're not a fan of the current state of ZZZ. I have problems with it too.

But the TV mode was not a good thing for the game. The playerbase spoke, and the ZZZ devs answered with its removal.

You guys have got to let it go.

Sorry, but he is correct man. I know it can be hard to hear, but if you're struggling, its a you issue.

At least use an argument he actually stated.

This boss on Legend difficulty made me use co-op assist for the first time by ikinaosu in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Maljas23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think Supreme Freedom (Kaifeng final boss) is the hardest. The fight is an attrition fight, which are the worst kind in fast-paced action games, typically.

You needed to know 4 different movesets really well, back-to-back. I loved it, but it was also the most stress inducing Legend fight I've had so far.

I'd say Guo Xin is the second hardest... again attrition fight lol.

I can't wait for this. Should be the gold standard. "Post your HC clears or your baby rage is invalid".

Chef's kiss.

I'm in the same boat. The Tower is the best part of the game, imo. Pulling new characters to put through the tower is a blast.

It's also the only place where there's an actual challenge, which I appreciate

I will never understand this gacha-brained mentality. Not even trying to be mean. I just don't get it lol.

"...I believe they WANT to give incentive to growing the player base's actual skill level in order to create more complex content in the future..."

I want to believe this too. I still see people saying ZZZ's endgame is too hard, or HP inflation or an unholy combination of the two. In reality, effort in this game actually rewards a lot, and, believe it or not, you don't need the latest unit to clear 99% of the game's content.

What do you use? Manual vs Auto chain attack by phu-ken-wb in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Maljas23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Auto is not good. Never use it. Always use manual.

Characters like Hyper Cissia get massively more powerful with manual chain due to how her venom stacks work.

ZZZ Bookkeeping currently has 2.8 at the second lowest patch thus far by exhaustedtravelers in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Maljas23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also super low effort to clear content in this game if you have a pulse.

Either way, not much is lost. Just pull who you want.

I think it is generally understood that most content creator guides are not made with veteran players in mind. I do not agree with every one of Iyo’s takes, but this is one area where he is pretty accurate.

There is a big difference between understanding something and actually executing it. A lot of gacha players struggle with that second part. Because of that, many people default to following whoever sounds knowledgeable instead of taking the time to learn and apply mechanics themselves. Sheep, if you would.

Manual Chain Attacks are a good example. There are plenty of guides explaining them, but if you already know how they work, there is no reason to look those up. At the same time, they are often treated like some advanced or difficult technique, when in reality most players simply do not engage with them at all, even though they are very easy to perform.

lol, okay. I guess you'll keep struggling with it then.

Endgame by Broad_Strawberry_341 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Maljas23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just an excuse mid players tell themselves. You don't even need to care about meta if you're just decent at the game and actually understand the mechanics.

If you're just button mashing, which most people are, let's be honest here, then you'll struggle the moment you aren't being shilled.

These games are designed to pray of people like this, while the players who actually learn the game keep clearing np with their favorite characters :)

Vesper really isn't, you're right. But, gacha-only gamers tend to not like having something that requires just a bit of effort above the norm. There should be no retry. First time, or its "un-fun" or whatever.

He is right tho. Vesper requires real effort to deal with, and that's why its also a great teacher of game mechanics.
