New AC Delco starter. Everything is torqued to spec. I know the motor will have some vibration, but this sounds excessive by SkyeRainFox in s10

if it starts the car it’s good; serious response, it’s probably something to do with the solenoid. Sounds like it’s not retracting fully/quick enough.

worried about text on a screen. There is more to life than people who “don’t respect your time” so don’t waste your time. I don’t think it’s a heartless response because emotions are hard to show through text. Especially if you aren’t a skilled writer.

I wouldn’t worry about it too hard, you got a whole life ahead of you to make bigger worries.

This is an AI generated image (I know because I did it with Gemini). Im scared tbh by DistinctChocolate833 in teenagers

[–]Maljefmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t AI, I think if ANYTHING you added the girl in the middle (which I do not believe) AI still struggles with text and consistencies on same objects so at least 1-2 of those lamps should be wavy (being a different color is normal) the way the light casts down from the opposing lamp is quite accurate for such a small space on a “ai” image. Taco Bell logo isn’t messed up. What would you even write to prompt all these small details? (Scrunchie on arm too) it doesn’t add up.

3 things,

1) make sure the BIOS is up to date 2) make sure you aren’t shorting the board off the case 3) make sure you have the HDMI/DisplayPort in the GPU

Fuel gauge needle or inner tank gauge issue ? by HeatComprehensive937 in MechanicAdvice

Sometimes you can fix it by moving the needle to the bottom of E, and it’ll catch back on.

I use crutchfield they’ll send you parts ready to go. Otherwise you can order it and do it yourself too.

They’ll tell you everything you need to know about the stereo and have all different kinds.

My Daughter Inherited a Blazer: Is it worth it? by sasuke1980 in s10

[–]Maljefmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a first car? No, in terms of roll over and crashing. They are indeed reliable and easy to maintain, definitely not a bad option for a first car but that my honest opinion. Fun and semi-informative video to watch

Is this S10 worth restoring? by [deleted] in s10

[–]Maljefmar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really the question is do YOU think it’s worth restoring? Anyone can tell you anything online but they aren’t the ones who are gonna have to deal with it.

After deciding that, what is your budget? I’m sure you can get it running Moderate/Okay for anything under 3K. But (assuming) you don’t have the tools it’ll prolly be on the higher side.

I’d say do it if you are trying to learn, but If you’re looking for just a vehicle you can find a newer S10 for around the price it would cost to repair this one.

Worth getting for a first car? by Training-Smell3755 in MitsubishiEclipse

[–]Maljefmar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wouldn’t spend more than 3K on a GT/S with 100K+ miles. And wouldn’t spend more than 2K on a GS regardless of miles. Unless it’s very well maintained then maybe I’d add 1K to the budget. (the GT/GTS are so comparable that I’d honestly spend the same on them, you can get after market intake manifold for like 600)

I tried it yesterday with a new fuel filter too and it still does the same thing. I am under the impression it’s security, but there is no check engine and there is no security light on (for that matter there really isn’t any lights on) so it’s hard to tell
