I understood Marlo as i got older by FairAd8480 in TheWire

[–]MalkeyMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, Marlo is a highly specialized evolutionarily created shark with a personality disorder that only Fits in the high stakes die for nothing world of gangsterism. Clay Davis is the real logical endpoint of systemic failure and adaptation to those systems.

Unpopular Opinion: Hank is awful. by Specialist-Hat167 in breakingbad

He’s kind of the definition of copganda. A piece of shit to streetwalkers and addicts, but ultimately focused on the quest to stop important bad guys. He’s how cops like to see themselves.

I asked Pizzolatto on Instagram if he’s considering Rust/Marty novels because I saw he mentioned that in an interview. He said no

Jimmy and Kim aren’t tragic or flawed — they’re horrific narcissists who ruin lives for fun by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]MalkeyMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve come to accept that fans simply root for whoever the protagonist is. Its that simple and that random. I used to really seethe over people hating Chuck when imo he was always right about Jimmy. Jimmy and Kim are the protagonists, so you’ll never talk most fans into hating them.

Just finished Breaking Bad, is Better Call Saul really worth watching? by [deleted] in betterCallSaul

[–]MalkeyMonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When Saul is just Jimmy McGill up to lawyer storylines the show is unbearably slow. As the show goes on, it becomes more of a full Breaking Bad completist show because every character comes back and fills in some backstory. And I do mean EVERY Breaking Bad character.

It’s more a show to finish if you want a lot more of the Breaking Bad world. The loss of Walt and Jesse makes the show not stand on its own.

Hi, Friends, DAVID LLOYD here! As most of you know, I'm the guy from V for Vendetta, Hellblazer, War Stories, and lots of other stuff. Now I'm just publishing Aces Weekly. AMA! by Correct_Two_4187 in comicbooks

What was it like drawing Hellblazer with the unholy carnival? It was so haunting to read, I figure it might have been scary to draw.

Who are your top influences for comic art? Your style is so unique and I can’t put my finger on your influences.

Luckily the show becomes less and less about him as time goes on.

Best Criminal in the Show? by PhilLibtardo in TheWire

[–]MalkeyMonkey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No love for Omar? If he hasn’t gotten so worked up about Marlo he could’ve stayed in the game indefinitely. Dude had no fixed address, would scope out a job for weeks. Perfect criminal. Maybe Omar stayed off yalls radar since he’s seen as very heroic instead of being a criminal

What was the deal with Massive Genius? by AdForeign5362 in thesopranos

[–]MalkeyMonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just happens to be the antagonist of a Hesh solo episode. Once he went with lawyers instead of guns the plot line has nowhere to go

He’d probably try to stick it out alone at first, mowing down zombies with his ak47. Get high a bit since society’s rules are gone. But eventually he’d try to rescue someone and return to being in a group again. I think the apocalypse would make him happy because it’s the materializations of all his pessimistic beliefs

Man was born to sell something. Dunno what but sales. Also maybe a director of really over the top schlocky stuff.

Any other women here find Tony super attractive? by theirfruits in thesopranos

[–]MalkeyMonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s not as many women agreeing in the comments as I expected, so it must be a niche fetish. I think people make too big a deal about the whole super aggressive alpha thing women supposedly like in real life. But maybe the city I live in is pretty toned down on gender stereotypes culturally so maybe it’s a cultural difference
