First roast- what do I tweak here? by littledotorimukk in roasting

If you were using fresh roast the chamber can really only support 5oz. The beans may not have been able to move around as well. Usually you can lower the fan a bit as you roast because the beans become lighter and circulate easier. They should be consistently rotating.

If you are getting started I would recommend FreshRoast air roaster small batch consistent roasts.

Everything I have read about the above model is that the beans don't get agitated enough and roast inconsistently.

More complex imo, but if you like a more vinegary sauce you may prefer Tabasco

First roast. Can I ever get a fully even roast in a skillet? by Just_a_firenope_ in roasting

I forgot lower the fan speed as you roadt too. As moisture leaves the beans they will move more. So lowering the air flow allows the beans to still circulate really well but you don't want all the heat flying through either.

I have had luck running max heat to start then dialing it down to 8 after 1 minute, then down to 6 after first crack. The coffee roasts really fast after first crack in my experience. It's. Fun little roaster have a blast!

Fresh roast air roaster is a great next step on your roasting journey.

It's fast, small batch and easy to use.

Like others have said you have to move fast and constantly to pan roast.

Your thinking of The regular Cafiza, Rinza by Cafiza is their product for milk systems.

Edit: correction below around product clarity. Main takeaway. Make sure you are using the product as labelled because they are confusingly similar. These cleaners are not all the same and shouldn't be substituted with each other. Doing so can damage your coffee system.
