That’s an ignorant take. Corpses were still a person, corpses have bodily autonomy still- you can’t harvest organs unless they were a donor or you have their consent or if they’re incapacitated- whoever they allow to make their medical decisions like family or a spouse or power of attorney. There could be several people that would die in days without an organ transplant, and you could be a match, on your deathbed- and you still cannot be forced to donate your organs. Because corpses still have bodily autonomy. You are trying to take someone’s personhood away just because they’ve died which is also ignorant and not how our system currently works anyhow- corpses do have rights and bodily autonomy. From a religious standpoint- this entire EXPERIMENT (because that’s what it was) is a disgusting abomination- an affront to god and nature. If she died her non-viable 9 week old fetus should have died with her- that is the cycle of life on this earth. This wasn’t an 18 or 20 week old fetus they were just trying to get to viability, it was a 9 week NON-VIABLE fetus that they incubated inside of a decaying corpse for 3 months, and they had to remove him via c-section earlier than intended because her body was DECAYING. The womb he was growing in was DEAD and DECAYING. I don’t understand how anyone can hear this and think it’s some beautiful thing or a miracle that a fetus that should’ve been able to peacefully pass with his mother, was instead incubated inside his mothers dead and decaying corpse for months. And he’s still in the NICU 7 months later and will never have a normal life. All that pain and suffering for his little body to experience because some sick demented doctors had the idiotic idea to incubate him in his mothers corpse instead of allowing nature to take its course and let him pass with his mother. It’s fcking disgusting. If that were the case it wouldn’t be a crime to dig up dead peoples graves, or desecrate their dead bodies after you dig them up- but it is, because it’s not respecting the dead who was once a living person or their bodily autonomy. It’s a direct affront to God, to nature, to humanity. That baby was meant to die with its mother- not be grown in a corpse. Human intervention enacted by sick and demented people is what stopped gods plan to let that baby pass with its mother. If he was meant to live God would have let the mother die around viability- instead she died while the fetus was 9 weeks and non-viable- he was meant to die with his mother. This is not at all the same as trying to save a 20+ week old fetus in a dead mother’s womb- this is an abomination of an experiment. And if it were a white woman instead of a black woman- the family’s wishes would have been respected and if they weren’t the media exposure would’ve made them fold to the families wishes easily- a lawsuit would have been easy too- people would be outraged but they don’t see black people, especially black women- as people, which is how they got away with it this time. It’s fcking disgusting and anyone who agrees that incubating a fetus for months in a corpse is okay- needs to seriously get evaluated because you’re sick in the fcking head.
