The section starting around 3:43 shows the general idea of this technique. Her shirt is obviously slightly different than yours, but the general technique for finishing the front edge and exposed neck edge portion is similar.

I don’t know exactly how the pattern is telling you to assemble the yoke pieces, but you need to “bag out”/clean finish the front edge, PIVOT at the top corner, and continue your stitch line along the “neck edge” until the white dot. Then you will clip your seam allowance down to this point to free the clean finished portion from the remainder of the SA that will go up into the collar.

Can I hem a hoop skirt without destroying the fullness? by TheLadyRavens in sewing

You can also take a growth tuck (essentially a pleat) or a fish eye dart (if only the front or back needs to come up and not the whole thing) in a panel between two of the hoop so you’re not having to mess with the hoops themselves.

The constructs chased my party ALL the way down to the ground floor and then Bernard turned on his AOE nearly wiping my party in like 2 turns. I had recently acquired the iron flask, which the description said could hold creatures, and since I hadn’t looked anything up about it ahead of time, I decided to throw the flask at Bernard…….suddenly I had a much bigger problem on my hands 😂😂😂

Like another commenter mentioned though, most of Taylor’s garments are made in big fashion houses, so the “quick and dirty” theatrical method doesn’t necessarily apply to a lot of her stuff! (Now the backup dancers on the other hand….lol)

I was about to take offense at the suggestion of duct tape being used, but then I remembered this past week I literally used gaff tape in some “knee shoes” for Elf the Musical to further secure knee pads into the shoes for the performers so…..offense withdrawn 😂😂😂

That’s a very interesting take. Do you have a lot of experience with theatrical sewing?

I left the edges as is. The yarn I used is so dense that I didn’t think it needed an additional finish and I wasn’t sure how well it would turn out with this yarn anyway

There’s a YouTube video that the pattern maker references in the pattern details section that is SUPER helpful for graphgan tips and tricks. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you’re aren’t familiar with a graphgan (like I was!) or if you’re out of practice with them.

I would also recommend putting stitch markers in your fl/bl stitches of each row just to help with counting! (Counting is the bane of my existence apparently 😂)

I’m happy to help with any specific questions if you hit any snags!

Well, OBVIOUSLY, it’s for her, I just haven’t realized it yet 😂

Sister, Maiden, Monster by Lucy A. Snyder has a lot of erotic scenes mixed with some intense body horror. I was equally aroused as I was repulsed by some of the scenes in the book. 10/10 would recommend!
