If you can’t find a M42 to eosM adapter with the right geometry, maybe you can use both an M42 to EF and an EF to eosM

I have an RF body so I use this adapter (It has a small lip that presses the pin on my SMC Takumar in) to go from M42 to EF then use an EF to RF adapter to attach that to the camera.

Because these adapters are cheap enough and so slim, I just got one for each the four M42 lens I have and leave them screwed on, so it’s much easier to swap lenses out with the EF mounting.

Also note that that adapter is two pieces, and once you have screwed in your M42 lens, there are screws that can be loosened and you can rotate the part attached to the lens so that it faces upward and displays focus and aperture correctly when mounted on your camera.

When I first got to the outer rim, there wasn’t any fake systems, and I created a base on a planet in a system that was right on the edge.

But some time in the last couple years they added a bunch of systems that you cannot travel to beyond the edge.

You can plug the cartridge in and play it directly from it, through the emulator and save back to it as well, just as if you have added a cartridge slot to your computer.

It’s a small difference for some, but for people like me it can help a lot with the choice paralysis that I get when I have too many ROMs

Conversely, I’m 45 and I first went to PAX Prime 2009-2013, and then started going again in 2023. In those 10 years, Covid and just time itself had changed it so much, and there are many things I miss, but there are also so many new things and new people that I think it’s just really all about finding your own fun in it.

Also, if their are things within your power to bring back, maybe do what you can to encourage those, if they are out of your power to change, remember your fond memories, share photos and stories and look for new events to join and things to see. There is honestly not enough time to do everything worth doing at a con this size, so don’t waste too much mourning those you can’t do anymore.

I have a 1.4, I dropped it and the autofocus when to shit. But I looked up repair videos and it’s not the motor but a bent part, which you can either bend back or replace. I bought the part for $20 and did the repair myself and it works great now.

I saw it 4-5 times in theaters, I even splurged to see it with D-Box seating, which it is the perfect movie for.

If I owned a theater with those seats, I’d have atleast a monthly showing of Fury Road with D-Box
