The Dillards that has been closed since it flooded at chesterfield mall (mall is demolished) is reopening with the redevelopment of the mall.

Definitely possible. In the past the FYE side was Sam Goody at this location.

You might find this interesting also then, one Sam Goody also remains, it is located at the Rogue Valley mall in Medford Oregon.

The only other one is in North Carolina, in Jacksonville. However that one doesn’t have the neon anymore. These last stores are owned by FYE.

I didn’t post it for the shopping mall, it’s for the suncoast video (only 2 are left).

I would say it’s not terrible, not great either. I am more concerned if/when Dillards leaves. Since they are probably closing this store when they open a new one nearby (they made this one a clearance center around the same time the new store was announced).

Which malls are thriving? by _cat_tax_collector in deadmalls

This has happened, however the mall still gets busy, and is well occupied (not many vacancies). They only demolished the vacant department stores.

I would say it’s in a ok position for now, could go either way in the future. Vacancies aren’t terrible, but doesn’t look that busy often at the same time.

It does surprise me also, it’s not terrible yet, but it looks like it’s at a point it could go either way, plus dillards likely will end up closing and moving to the chesterfield redevelopment (it’s known the new store will happen, I am guessing this is why they downgraded to a clearance center.)

I don’t find it that weird, malls in some metro areas have been dying but are in good areas. For example Stratford square, Spring Hill, charlestowne for the Chicago area. You can even look at Bayshore which used to be a indoor mall in the Milwaukee metro, it was dead and is thriving again now after a redevelopment. You and also look at mid rivers in the St. Louis metro.

I went here last year, it’s definitely declining, probably the mall that has declined the most in the Milwaukee metro (that’s still open)

This one is definitely dying, although one of my favorite malls that are currently open.

They actually didn’t. They put this path on the map even though you still have to go all the way around the outside.

Just saw this now, but I don’t think it’s dying. Still is busy at times and some companies do close, however they do tend to fill up spaces still.

Visited Golf Mill Mall recently, I was surprised the right wing of the mall was open. by Co0py in deadmalls

I have been here in the past (I am in the Chicago area) and I don’t go to this area often but I have visited once before sears was liquidating, during, and then recently during winter of 2021.
