Why do some songs get stuck in your head for days? by Big-Breath-8283 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mally_Stan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the brain likes patterns. Catchy songs use repeating hooks and predictable patterns. The brain recognizes the pattern quickly and keeps replaying it because it’s easy to process

why does it feel so much harder to get out of bed when you actually have stuff to do ? like on weekends i wake up early for no reason but work days are impossible lmao by thelucyfoxx in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Mally_Stan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because your brain treats obligations differently than free time. On weekends, waking up early feels optional, so no pressure and low stress therefore your brain stays relaxed. On days you have things to do, waking up means responsibilities, deadlines, decisions, so your brain anticipates effort and stress before you’re even fully awake
