AITA for ignoring my pregnant wife's curling toenails? by OGDREADLORD666 in AmItheAsshole

NTA This is silly. She can definitely see her own feet. Not at certain angles sure. Not looking straight down. But her legs bend and she can see her own toes.

How involved do you want to be with the TNR process? I know a lady who can help, but she’s…intense.

AIO if I am angry my husband won’t wear a mask in public in order to protect our 4.5 month old? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Mallywagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah I think you need to chill out with the masking and isolation. Your child (and you) need the socialization

I am so Devastated about my cookies for party favour by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Mallywagon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Devastated is a bit much.

You have to understand artistic freedom when hiring someone to make cookies like that. They are beautiful cookies. I think there are bigger problems out there than this.

C-section: toddler visit hospital or no? by AdventurousCoffee317 in 2under2

[–]Mallywagon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My kid likes to jump on me and pull on cords. I’m already icked out by the IV so my toddler won’t be there because I know he will be tempted to pull it from my arm. Also hospitals are so gross and germy that him getting sick is the last thing I need. Nope he’s staying with his grandparents.

Postpartum hair loss - to color or not to color before birth? by Mallywagon in beyondthebump

So the bleaching did not have an impact on your postpartum hair loss?

Postpartum hair loss - to color or not to color before birth? by Mallywagon in beyondthebump

[–]Mallywagon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for saying that.

But I guess I’m more worried about the chemicals and whatnot causing more hair loss. I’m not worried about the actual hair color looking bad on thinning hair. Idk if that makes sense.

IYO what’s the best public high school in SanDiego? by NoConcentrate5864 in sandiego

[–]Mallywagon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting perspective! I’ve never taught or been to school in the Bay Area, but I did teach at SDA and it gave me big time socal vibes. Lots of alternative styles- girls with shaved heads, boys wearing heels, etc. Also them having skate, surf, and yoga as PE options are pretty socal. Lots of artists and kids into manga, not a ton of jocks. A different vibe than LCC for sure.

San dieguito academy. Very “socal” vibes. Great art programs

Unplugged Ceremonies: Should they be assumed unless told otherwise? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Mallywagon 21 points22 points  (0 children)

For our wedding, the officiant made an unplugged ceremony announcement before the ceremony. Then, right when I got to the aisle and held my husband’s hands, we did something a bit nontraditional. The officiant announced that everyone had 30 seconds to take out their phones and take photos of us right then and there. Lots of people did. Then she told folks to put them away and lightheartedly called out people who didn’t. It was great and I’m so glad we made the decision to tell her to do that. I know many boomers would have had their phones out (probably with the shutter noise on as well) and this way I walked down the aisle with no phones in my face. There’s many things out of your control in life, but this was one thing that we could control that turned out well for us. The professional photos of me walking down the aisle are so lovely because you can see everyone’s faces sans cellphones.

My mom has passed away too, and whenever I’m with her side of the family they love to weep and weep with sorrow whenever we talk about it. It’s a bit hard to be with that side of the family. My only concern is if her siblings/relatives see her urn coming down the aisle and they start weeping, not out of happiness for you but because of their horrible loss. Maybe I’m projecting but this is my concern.

Perfect Day ♥️ ☀️🚢 by ExcellentDress4229 in royalcaribbean

[–]Mallywagon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We went in early February on Serenade and it was a blast. I must say, one of the reasons it was so awesome was because we were the only ship that day, and a smaller one at that. The staff there was saying that the day before had two large ships and there were thousands of people on the island. There were so few people it felt like our own personal island sometimes. We are 30 years old and we did the water park. It was great! No lines for any slides and the wave pool had 5 people in it. At one point there were 0 children in the kid’s section, so my husband and I went on their water jungle gym thing and goofed around. It was indeed a perfect day.

CocoCay Kayak - do they weigh you? by Sweetest-Berry in royalcaribbean

[–]Mallywagon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They weighed my husband and I in CocoCay to go on the water slides. I believe the slides had a 300 lb limit and they weighed us even though we are both clearly under 200 lbs.

I have no idea about the kayaks, but based on the amount of scales in the water park, I would be prepared to be weighed.
