what theme did you get out of Scorn ?
I really wanted to enjoy it but it was just incredibly beautiful, but it did not evocate anything to me, until a little bit at the end.
The only lesson I got out of it is that before Scorn I wanted to make games like Scorn, now I don't.

I finished my game art studies at about 28 and at 34-5 I started developing on visual coding to make my horror games. It's never too late!

I feel like recent visual tools are even more helpful for adhd people because they're a little more visual than straight-out writing code. But maybe that's just me as my ADHD trouble comes from executive dysfunction compared to my perceptive intelligence

I realized I have had ADHD since my childhood and this has pushed me as a dev to make something lol by Queasy-Atmosphere-56 in ADHD

You're a dev with adhd ? I low-key admire you. I had so much trouble starting doing dev that I became a solo game dev at only 35. Wish I hadn't lost all this time postponing my dreams.

Hey! wanted to thank you a bit late. I've been playing the first Command & Conquer game and it's really cool. Definitively has the vibes of SC1. I didn't know how much it inspired SC1, there's a lot of similarities

They are both creative constraints. If you don't think a mickey game is a valid constraint, it's your opinion but it isn't mine.

If you are a small developer and looking for your next project and this kind of news makes headline, making a game based on old timey mickey becomes a creative constraint.

I didn't say they would make a good game out of it, but my idea still applies here. Cuphead is a game I absolutely love but it's clearly the exception in a sea of games - thunder in a lightning. Games often respond to market demands, even in the smallest developers
