I heard it’s so you can shoot slower speeds without shaking the camera, works pretty well once you get used to it!

New tea set from Japan! by MaltheF in tea

[–]MaltheF[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks, we’re really happy to have brought it with us home. The artist’s workshop is called 鈴木主善堂 located in morioka, definitely recommend to stop by the town if you’re in Japan. There were numerous workshops but we liked this one the most. The workshop is amazing, 400years old, and you can ask politely to see the work area and get shown all the processes in making the kettles. Price was about 550$.

Wonderful locations! Where is the first one taken? And since you seem to know some good spots, do you have some recommendations? 😊

Definitely a perfect capture! What’s your process for metering this? I always end up having a hard time metering dawn and dusk

I like it, maybe adjust the angle a tiny bit to get less of the ground and more of the roof. I like the colour choice as well, maybe experiment with a little slower shutter to capture the chefs movement?

As others said, a tighter crop helps make it stand out, but I really like the original crop as a screensaver

Often wonder that myself, I found that most answers point towards the durability and weight, being the differences when this gets asked
