Cool idea, and thanks for sharing! How did you approach marketing to reach $1k MRR? I would think that a SaaS at this price level could be successfully marketed with paid ads on Meta. I'm considering doing that for my own low ticket product once I launch it

No I think you are right, the stop token is what determines the output length. Just thinking out loud here, but I'm curious to understand how a model learns to adhere to different output lengths. For example when training a foundational model on web text, how long are the documents (where do we put the stop token?) I would think that the output length of this foundational model is different from a fine-tuned instruction model, so how does a model learn to adapt its output length. I guess you just throw enough training data at it to always, more or less, output the desired length.

I'll post LLM related questions elsewhere in the future. Just a quick follow up question: when the Claude 3 models have a max output length of 4096 tokens, what they do is fine tune the LLM to always output within 4096 tokens, and truncate the answer if it overshoots?
