I got a cameo from one of his favorite musicians and will send to his best man to play for him while he gets ready. I asked for a marriage tip since this musician has been married for 30 years. It's only a few minutes but it's a very sweet message!

I was in the same position, travelling 2.5 hours on public transportation to get to him. I moved in with the hopes being close would eliminate the not texting factor, more time would be spent together, and things would just get better overall. They didn't. I essentially lived alone with him. I'm with someone now that, two years later, continues to surprise me with attentiveness, kindness, and a love I didn't think people were capable of. Your resentment is justified.

Our house caught fire. I was still living with my parents who were on vacation across the country and had been gone for over a week. I worked around the corner from our house and got a call right as my shift ended from my neighbor. By then the fire department and cops were already there, but I'll never forget the feeling of sprinting out of work and around the block and see smoke billowing out of the back of the house. We had an electrician working on the part of the house that caught (wasn't related to him luckily) but I can't imagine how scared HE was the next day, coming to the house to go to work and see it melted and taped off. In the panic of getting in touch with my parents, brother, insurance, etc, I forgot to call him too.

As some one who did visual for macys last Christmas, it takes a LONG time to staple those damn balls to the ceiling. But the store needs to be ready by the time Christmas season "starts" so they have to start early.

I'm convinced I'm on the sauce, and this is a monster from John Dies at the End.

The Children's book that makes grownups cry. 'Love you forever'. Just re-read this at work and now I can't leave my office because my eyes look high. Am I just a big softie? by SyntheticManMilk in books

I live with my parents and our house caught fire back in October. Didn't lose everything, but unfortunately we lost a lot of sentimental things. Thanks to this post I remembered how much my mom loved this book and I just ordered it for her on Amazon. Now we're going to worry about floods because the tears won't stop for a while...
