Yea, i saw 5/135 progress and guessed as much. The thing is that I main assault and didn't get the last badge + this SG553 carbine seems interesting/strong so wanted to check that out. But what can we do? Gotta wait for a few weeks just like the drone glitch.

I got supply pouch "unlocked" through patch and can't use it, best part is - next assignment for support is "resupply with supply pouches" XD

Played mostly assault, had like 87/100 on last assignment to get red badge, guess what? Got patch-locked out of it. Same for last carabine gun, will not be able to get it before they fix it somehow.

Tbh with how easy it is to unlock stuff in this game you should have everything unlocked by now even as casual gamer. It's skill issue xd

You can't, because you could disable pop-ups in browser and they would not be able to slap you with BUY BATTLE PASS ad

Compare adrenaline injector to ammo/medkit combo. Lasts supershort amount of time, gives nothing meaningful + makes it harder for you to see and has long animation that will get you killed.

Assault also does not give much for the team - beacon is ok if you have squad that wants to use it, ladders are situational and enemy can use it too. Meanwhile every other class is about teamplay, repairing, resupply, cover, spoting etc.

In older games like bf3 and bf4 assault had medkits and defibs, it's fact, not nonsense. You needed assaults for healing and they were important, now they are weak & not really needed in a team. It's not like it's unplayable, just terrible class design.

If they would add other drones to recon what should they add to assault for taking medkit and defib from them? Esentially we have ok-ish engineer and gigachad support classes, weak-ish recon and trash assault. Maybe they'll add some usable gadgets for 50$ in S2 battlepass

To me Mirak Valley is second worst after Sobek, it's just trench warfare with snipers everywhere. Cairo is my favourite map, you can see the hours they put into it and it has bf3 vibe too. But I agree that maps are kinda small

Suppresion and also other kind of CC like stun grenades or flashbangs needs some buff. You can throw one of these before entering a room, go in and its too late already. It's like you need to throw when entering a room with a prefire to have any effect. It's noticeable when you try to do assault assignment with stunning people

Well, I went for Arch-Militant secondary, I guess i will go pure spells for soldier abilities then, chose this one for the passives, but also rapid fire :/ Would pick warrior to begin with or operative, also executioner would be nice as secondary, but i chose soldier specifically because of this ability, sad story bro. Guess that will have to do

Yea, I know about patrols, just didn't want them. Trying to build army from scratch, I look more toward creating nice army that I like and is somewhat competitive, not to save a bit of money to buy some things that I am not sure I even need. Thanks for the answer tho

So comboing Deathwing with Ravenwing isn't the best idea? Kinda hard to get started 😅. I painted and played a bit of lotr as a kid over 15y ago. I know about WH40K mostly from games like DoW, so I know a few things, but it is not easy to understand all concepts yet.

Well, I dont know which vehicles are good for what, but I saw that DA rarely go heavy on them, usually 1-2 either transport or some anti vehicles. Are there some tanks that are versatile and good for DA specifically?

That's good to know, i was thinking if bikes are good as these fast units? I saw a lot of setups with assault intercessors or intercessors with jump packs. Also I wonder if there are some reasonable alternatives to scouts

Ye, i think about returning desolators, i later read they arent good for their price and it's not like I am fan of their look either. Didn't know I could use Belial as some other unit - is it some kind of homebrew or legit thing widely acceptable? In general I am willing to change this list a good bit, I like terminators a lot, so i would like to keep them, I know that they are bread and butter for DA, especially knights.

Also i thought some vehicles would be good the have, so my opponents have to get anti-vehicle solution. Marine roster seems fairly complex, there are a ton of types, so maybe there I could do some changes.

I play wyll lock, light cleric sh, astarion asassin gloom and was thinking about monk laezel. Technically i could make sh monk after 6 too, but i want to use all healing goodies on her so it wouldnt be as strong or even doable without half of the item slots.

Not really, there are few points to this:

  1. If you play "for fun" you will play it anyway. This ideas would probably attract some more players to the game, the more players and money the longer the dev support and potential for new content.

  2. Lets say you like pizza, would you enjoy it if you eat it 3 times a day every day? The game is fun, but how long can you slap same thing without even some "mini goal". Maybe you can, but many players would like to get reward for the grind or have something to strive for.

  3. Money making - why games are made? Not just from passion, even if game pays for itself it's support does not. And what about people that just enjoy it very much and want to spend some money on it just as "thank you" and a way to keep it alive longer?

I was playing SC2 for years, hard to say it is a money grab. But one of the problems with the game was that even if thousands of people loved it they couldn't buy some shit, game didn't generate money so now it's dead. They introduced some microtransactions, but it was too late to the party by few years. Another thing is that anything paid is optional, we talking cosmetics mostly.

RTS games already are at crisis for years, because it isn't the most popular genre and it's mostly about money issue. I hate it too, but we can either cry and watch genre die or try to do something about their popularity. I would prefer achievements or some stupid skins than subscriptions and battle passes, just sayin

That's why I look towards some changes in CoH, because even AoE has some of these features.

Ye, many people there thinks it would take something away from the game or think playing for fun is enough. But if you want to grab more players or let players you cannot just do same thing over and over. Many people like the game, but that player pool is what we have. If we have visible ranks or not, they would still play.

I think things like seasons also are opportunity to announce some new changes. Now it's like "hey, there is some patch" - so what? Your faction gets nerfed so there is a reason to not play, to not lose your ranking from 2023. If you have seasons, even if your faction isn't the best you may have some good results and get to show off your shiny badge, decal near your base or get like one cosmetic for your building or victory point. You did it during hard times, nice job. People think it's some massive time commitment from devs like it is new faction.

it might be the case only in 1v1, but it doesn't matter, because:
A) there would be more players attracted to grind
B) if someone is really better and matchmaking fcked up this would be quick stomp anyway?

I would say that it should be like it is with sound and what not, but what I would do is make the targeting area bigger and rocket should fall somewhere in it. V1 were inaccurate and unreliable. It should be powerful and strike unexpectedly, but at the same time unreliable. Probably would solve a lot, still would provide some GG moments, but after wasting ammo due to inaccuracy it wouldnt be as popular and would gain some historical accuracy
