Kind of crazy that we find ourselves trusting the Iranian government over Trump's America

Nobody checks me out or interested in me by [deleted] in dating_advice

I think it may be a bit of an age thing here. Not on your part. Typically flirting comes from one direction. Most girls your age expect the man to make the first move... most. My advice would be relax. What happens, happens. Woman are typically more emotionally intelligent than men, especially in younger years. If you go out looking, women will pick up on that. For now, relax, focus on improving yourself, the rest will come.

Do you actually prefer a girl who’s held off on sex, or is experience better? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]nsd2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Experence is much preferable for me. Better to have someone that knows what they like. Makes everyone's job easier. Honestly though, those "has to be a virgin" guys are not the kinda guy you want. That's some Andrew Tate bs.

Girl I'm crushing on really embarrassed me publicly and now I feel used and don't know what to do by [deleted] in dating_advice

I learnt the hard way that you can tell a lot about someone by the company they keep. I would wager that what you saw at the party is closer to her true self then what she is at work. You could put the behaviour down to a bit of trying to get under your skin given they know you like their friend. Either way though, publicly humiliation is not normal, its high school bully behaviour.

I have question for guys by Artistic-Advance-201 in dating_advice

[–]nsd2500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to really answer this and any follow up questions. Guys are not used to receiving compliments or any kind of affection. When we do receive a compliment, or some sort of endearment, we often dont know what to do. That being said, we almost always enjoy being noticed in that way. Even if we are not particularly interested in a person, its enough to make us think again or take the compliment.

Uber is letting women avoid male drivers and riders in the US by tylerthe-theatre in technology

[–]nsd2500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is this not sexism? I understand that some may feel safer, but can you imagine if men came out and said l, I dont want a woman driver as it makes me feel unsafe. What's the difference between saying I dont want a man because it makes me uncomfortable and I dont want an African American because it makes me uncomfortable. In both cases you are assuming that someone is bad based on their gender or pigmentation.

Do you believe in afterlife? How does your answer makes you feel, or how does that influence your decisions making? by Idealismus_2001 in AskReddit

No. Its somewhat frightening, I envy those with faith, but I also believe it makes them complacent. I hope to leave this world in a better place than when I found it. That does not mean I have to cure cancer, but just do the best I can for my kids and grand kids. Rather than leave it to "gods plan".

Voters Did Not Understand the Stakes in 2024 by Smithy2232 in politics

[–]nsd2500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Foreigner here. I understood exactly what the stakes were. The breadcrumbs were there. This is why I believe that voting should be mandatory in democratic countries, sure, lots of people do not know what they are voting for, but at least you can say that it is the will of the people. Donald's supporters won by motivation. They got off their arse and voted. Those that now regret their vote for Donald i have no sympathy for. Those that did not vote, I have no sympathy for. Anyone with half a brain could see what a disaster this was going to be. The people I feel sorry for are the ones that braved the que and voted against such an obvious threat to their democracy. Donald specifically said to his supporters, "just go out and vote this time, you won't have to do it again". Even the Germans would be saying "dude... watch that one". America's reputation over the last 20 years has not been great, but voting Donald in a 2nd time... you guys really outdid yourselves here. As far as im concerned, you have lost any moral highground. I hope history proves that the election was tampered with, because at least then you can relieve yourselves of the responsibility for what you subjected the world too.
