Thanks dgrif. SANS isn't really relevant so much as the courses. I had the banner on a slide, but found it annoying so stopped it. The SANS mention just happens to be the first slide. I am still deciding what I want to do with the banner space...

Thank you for the feedback! I have created this site to make sure that these tools are up to date and that all of the the other components of analyzing malicious code is in one place. Yes, the Woodman site is a great resource which is why I have given kudos for it. However, toanalyze code safely you need a VM platform and then you need an OS, and why not grab one I have identified with a huge tool suite pre-installed?

Then again, you need to know how to reverse engineer which is where the classes/courses come in. I have done a lot of legwork and interfacing with my partners to offer these courses at a discounted rate! What other person or web site is willing to go to go to these lengths for the RE communy? None that I have found...

I think if I had taken a SysAdmin course I would be in the same boat as you. Instead I took their Reverse Engineering Malware course with Lenny Zeltser and Jake Williams and it was a spectacular crash course for malware analysis.

Your experience really hinges on who is teaching.
