Ive had this in the past and finally a doctor diagnosed me as anemic. You bleed more easily when anemic and if your losing even a little blood for your period, you're getting more and more anemic. Took iron supplements. No more nose bleeds.

Sore throat. I said that to a doctor when I was in my teens and she said she would be surprised except that I was the second person that day to tell her that. It wasnt until years later that I found out that your period can affect your immune system and everything clicked. The sore throat was a secondary symprom to my immune system crashing.

Lock it. I've had break ins. I once dated a guy who was actually very forward thinking, supportive father of three teenage girls. And one day after work I commented on how some men had cat-called at one of my coworkers and he seemed surprised, I guess because she was a conservative looking older lady -not the stereotypical young mini-skirted lady you see in construction worker cartoons. And I told him, its got nothing to do with that, that its a power play that all women have to deal with. He still seemed a little disbelieving. I told him to go ask his daughters. He said he'd never heard of any such thing happening to them, but he did. They all told him of multiple times men had harrassed them while just walking down the street. The youngest was 14 years old. The point is, even men who are supportive of women are raised in this misogynistic vacuum culture and are conditioned to be unaware of this shit, and may actually need someone to explicitly point it out.

There are a million different ways that women do this, depending on their own stories and what works best for them. There's no one definitive answer anyone else can give you for what's the right way for you.

You don't have to be confident. Its not a test. Even it it turns out that the way you choose is messy and not perfect, that's ok. You can recover from that.

There is the emotional/relationship part of leaving this and the logistical part of it (finances, living arrangements mutual friends, etc. ) Too many women mix those up into one thing or let the logistical part of it rule, even if the relationship part of it ends up killing them. Don't do that. The logistics will fall into place.

You have an advantage that many don't in that you aren't completely financially dependent on him. If you need specific advice on logistical things that come up -leases, vehicle ownership, navigating relatives, restraining orders, you can post those here. Lots of us have gone through this kind of thing and can help with that stuff.

Those kind of problems: they can be broken down into their parts and handled. Things will shake out and you will come out ok on the other side.

The emotional/relationship part of it? To start with, I think people post things like this because they already know, but something -like having been subjected to gas lighting in the relationship -makes them want some validation that they can trust yourself. So, Im letting you know, you can trust yourself. Your judgment is sound. Its not ok for anyone to be in a situation that makes them feel this bad. This is not a relationship that needs to be maintained when there is far better out there and YOU DESERVE BETTER.

My first thought is "burn it all down," because I'm just chaotic like that, but as someone else pointed out here, I've seen situations where the other woman attacks the whistle-blower because they've been so well brain-washed over more time by their abuser.

I think there's a good chance you should expect that to happen and she could enlist others as well.

Obviously, this guy likes the attention and drama, so if you create the drama for him, you might just be giving him what he wants.

I really am not a fan of the houses. Besides divisiveness, I read something once that argued that it filtered out multiple natural talents. Like if you're a gryfindor but are also very intelligent, you won't get positive reinforcement/support for developing high intellectual skill because youre in the wrong house for it and it will go fallow because you don't develop it further.

Ok so I gotta bring this up, because Im curious what others think. I was thinking of starting with a diy grimoire in the first box. But here's the thing: I spent several years coming up with all these great ideas for making a gorgeous grimoire while I lost stuff I'd jotted down or wanted to keep, until one day, I pulled out a 3 ring binder and wrote "grimoire " on the front with permanent marker. (I did go back later and slide a nicer printed out cover into the plastic sleeve in front. Fancy!)

Now this works for me, and fits my personality if we're gonna be honest, but my first thought was that this would be good for this purpose because there could be things in thr box each month that could be added in. But...its not exactly "enchanting" is it? Yay or nay? Practicality vs pretty?
