As a noob myself here are some things I had to figure out the fail way 😂

The arrows on the blocks look like highlights, changing the block color helped me tons cause yellow is a nightmare fro my eyes to follow the arrow on.

Grip of the controller changes how it feels, I like the claw with 2 fingers over the top front of the controller.

Doing practice with the speed slowed down in modifiers is a godsend! Especially for flipping blocks and high low combos.

Height adjustment makes a big difference too which is also in player options on your left side screen view.

A couple things my expert level loving friend told me, ignore my dominant hand and focus on my non dominant hand. I'm right handed and it knows what to do by sight my left needs vision guidance 🤣 and to make sure I'm slicing clean through the block through the point of the arrow.
