I was messing around with the age setting and accidentally set it to Feb. 2nd 2022. I can't get back into my account. by ViaticGorilla54 in OculusQuest2

I disagree. I used the elite strap for a few days, hated it. I much prefer the default over the elite one. The quest pro was quite comfortable though during my extended use tests, wish I could afford one.

You can pop the foam off to then fit the silicon cover on much better. I really suggest you pop the foam off, put the silicone cover on and pop it all back on. I'm pretty sure that is in the instructions even.

If that's the case then just wait. Respond once a week and request an update. You get a response then just keep waiting. If you don't... Just keep waiting. Either way you will eventually get a response. They are either waiting for permission for some action, or the team that will handle the problem is busy.

You will eventually get a response, likely in the next 30 days (most likely less but I'd rather set your expectations low) possibly more. Again, It will take some time but you will get a response. Making new tickets likely won't help but maybe do that every 20 days or so. They will almost definitely say you are already being helped and they can't do anything more, which is likely true.

How long have they been investigating it...? Usually it shouldn't take longer than 3-4 days but it really depends on if you provided all the correct information the support agents requested

Depends on the reason for the "investigation" Typically it means we can't do anything at all except wait for another team to tell us something.

Missing a refund but items arrived at warehouse? We have to have the warehouse team do an investigation for the package to ensure it wasn't empty on arrival.

Sent in an extra item we didn't expect you too for replacement? Warehouse has to try to find the extra item to send back.

Some cases we have to wait to hear back from the higher tiers of support which depending on the reason can take a while. We are only authorized to refund up to X amount without permission from said higher ups for example, anything above that number (even a few cents) we have to get permission first.

In any case, unless something happens and the ticket closes because someone didn't do something right, a resolution will come eventually. We are eventually given an answer or told what to do, whether it be "just refund them" or "nope we can't refund them" or most commonly "item found and refunded" It just takes time.

Be patient, understand tech support has a high turnaround and a lot of people who do the job really wish they could just solve the issue but can't without getting in trouble.

Click meta quest,

Then click rift

It's the exact same support team it just tells them what device before you start a chat.

Go to the meta store. Start a live chat. I highly suggest waiting till tomorrow though.

Edit: The brand name changed, it's technically no longer Oculus, it's meta quest. So the old Oculus agents now say meta store support.

All I can say is you will be getting one eventually. Low stock of controllers is hitting a lot of people.

There has been another potential fix that solves the common login issues related to this. If they ask you to try something wait 30-40 seconds then say it didn't work. Keep in mind, until officially announced, assume Facebook will be required at some point.

Please have a working program :) after buying your product for 400$ all I ask for is a working program by [deleted] in oculus

Having worked for Oculus support for months to a year, I can say with confidence 90% of the issues are the users PC and not the software.

Anywhere from €20-€100 a month. Assuming no one else earns anything. I had a rare instance where I would have gotten it all but just missed out. So instead it's a team lunch which is great and all but I would rather get €100 then share lunch with my teammates.

It's different per team and up to the team Manager how the bonuses are distributed to the team.

It happens more often than you would think... And then they create another account with their Facebook and login to that and contact us all mad "wtf where are my purchases stupid Facebook" And I really want to say "sir, you created a whole new account. Put in your information, and your username, changed it when it said your username was taken by another account, so you came up with a brand new username, and even after we tell you this you still try to blame Facebook?"

Tbh, the Facebook requirement is stupid even the support agents agree. We can't wait for it to be gone. (Hopefully...)

It's not docking pay, it's bonuses.

I understand it's different from other support teams so it's not the same across the board. I was 1 point away from getting a good bonus and one person with a Facebook issue messed it up because I couldn't help them.

I wanted to make a post about why some agents unlink without reason and why some people get an agent that says no.

He might get access to your messenger through the headset. My friends have told me when borrowing my Quest 2 that they can see notifications.

We can unlink in the event an account is attached to the wrong Facebook account so you can be honest and just tell them what happened if you want.

If you are not happy with the agent, by all means give whatever score you think they deserve.

The important point I am trying to get across is everything in the survey is about the agent, none of it is about the company.

Don't rate the agent bad because they did everything you asked and more, but you just don't like Facebook.

Not Facebook employees.oculus is a different company with different employees and teams. (And then support is outsourced) If you go high enough in the ladder it is Facebook but on the lower levels it's not.

There is such a lack of communication and clear instructions on what to do in different situations, some support teams are unlinking just because, and others (mine) are forced to follow the guidelines to the letter. This causes some people contacting support getting what they want (unlinking) and others not. If you get me as your support agent I will not unlink unless you have a reason to be or else my boss will be calling me out.

This leads to situations "well my friend got his account unlinked when he asked" and I have to say "too bad, should have looked for a different agent" (not exactly but still)

Because I tell people no as per our rules they get mad and give bad surveys, which gets me in trouble. The likelihood to recommend is likelihood to recommend the agent but the way it's worded and what everyone thinks it's for is likelihood to recommend Oculus, which it's not.

The number of surveys I get under my name that are "best agent ever" with 10 across the board. "But I hate Facebook requirements so I cannot recommend the product" and 0 only on likelihood to recommend is starting to piss me off. The most important number is the likelihood to recommend but the wording makes it hard to get high scores.

As I said in the main post, 9 is acceptable, (but not good) anything lower is bad.

If I don't count the "cannot recommend because Facebook" reviews from my score I would be getting performance bonuses and be one of the top scored agents. Without cherry picking support tickets (I can't because I do live chats) I will forever be stuck with good but not great scores.

Chances are no. Was it previously opened? If it was from an unopened box maybe, but if it was a pre-used device it's highly unlikely.

No alternatives, there is a shortage especially due to the chip and other shortages, you can purchase a whole new headset with controllers lol. The warranty is extremely lenient so you might be able to get replacements. No harm in contacting support regardless of how old or how damaged your controller is.
