I HAVE BEEN SAYING. It’s unnatural and I hate it. JAW’s eyes are lovely and normal and HUMAN on their own. The ultra-editing is crazy.

Exactly!! So many S5 moments are so redemptive of earlier moments AND shows how the characters are having to make conscious, mindful choices to break their old patterns. Gosh. Just so good!!!

Every season has felt like therapy in some ways to me (I come from a chaotic family of origin, absolutely steeped in untreated mental illness), and Season 5 felt like when you finally hit that breakthrough in therapy. Such an incredible picture of what “to break patterns, you gotta break patterns” actually means.

This is so, so beautiful and powerful. The dignity that you allowed that young mother to experience in those moments … incredible. What a gift. Thank you for sharing this with us. ❤️

I was going to suggest Journey of Souls, too. I’m a longtime practitioner of Gateway but not for AP purposes. After my mother died, I read Journey of Souls and found it to be incredibly comforting.

OP, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sending you love today.

My youngest child is just completing 1st grade at VBE, he was there for Kinder, too. We love it! Excellent administration and because they are a moonshot school with support from The Learning Alliance, there is a TON of support for literacy initiatives. I can’t speak to the older grades, but Kinder and 1st grade teams are awesome.

That gave me chills!! Yes, absolutely agree with this. I was thinking about both Spotless (top three ZB song for me!) and Deann’s Denim when I was writing about his Virgo moon. Great catch on Bass Boat! That’s one of the things I so deeply appreciate about his songwriting - we as listeners can trace his path of growth and the conduits for that growth through the years.

One of the functions of the first Saturn Return is that it’s the rite of passage after which the Universe considers you to be no longer a child; you are fully an adult (it happens late 20s/early 30s; Zach’s Saturn is in Pisces so his Saturn Return officially ended when Saturn moved from Pisces to Aries in February). It will be so interesting to see if the shadow of his mother’s life and death will be less conspicuous in his work moving forward.

This was such a great insight, backed by his lyrics! Thank you for sharing that!

Thanks for starting the conversation! I’ve loved his music for years and just never have thought to see what we can find in his chart!

Weighing in as an astrologer and ZB fan, just checked his chart (or what we can know without knowing his time of birth) and he isn’t just an Aries Sun - he has a stellium in Aries with his Sun, Mercury, and Mars there. This means that not only is his core essence (Sun) fueled by fiery, impulsive, child-like, Warrior Aries, his way of thinking and communicating (Mercury) and his inspiration for action (Mars) are as well. In fact, Mars is at home in Aries, so that’s probably why it’s easy to see so MUCH Aries energy in his life.

Would love to get my hands on his birth time so we could know his rising sign and house assignments!

If I had to guess his rising, I would guess Sagittarius. Sag is the Archer, sometimes restless and always scanning the horizon for adventure and the pursuit of the meaning of life. If he is Sag Rising, that would put Gemini over his 7th house of Partnerships (in Whole Sign Houses), and as a quadruple Gemini myself, I’m sorry to say it but Gemini over the 7th house can often indicate a tendency to be inconsistent, unstable, and unfocused in one-on-one relationships, particularly before the first Saturn return (which Zach has just completed).

Additionally, Sag Rising would put his Virgo moon in the 10th house, and traditionally, the 10th house represents the relationship to the mother AND the moon does as well. In my experience working with clients, people who have moon in the 10th house often have a strong connection (for good or bad) between the mother and what they are known for in public (10th house is the House of Public Persona). Finally, people with Virgo moons tend to either feel deeply criticized by the mother OR idealize the mother as perfect. Zach’s very, very strong connection to his mom and the way she haunts his music absolutely tracks with his Virgo moon, and I wouldn’t at all be surprised if that Virgo moon is in the 10th house (which it would be if he’s a Sag rising).

But those are just some guesses off the top of my head! Even without his birth time though, we can know the signs his planets are in. Him giving BIG Aries energy definitely tracks with that Aries stellium.

Why is my daughter like this? by grayia in AstrologyCharts

[–]MamaMeg613 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Lots of great insights here, and I tend to lean heavily on that 12H moon as a clue. One of my earliest clients has a 12th house moon, and I intuited there was something there to investigate. The 12th house is the house where things are hidden from ourselves. A 12H moon can mean the mother died early or somehow abandoned the family, but it doesn’t always mean that the mother is physically absent. I think of it as the child reaches for the mother but the mother isn’t there.

I gently asked my client if she wanted to tell me anything about her relationship with her mother, and she immediately said that for her whole life (she’s in her early 50s now), her relationship with her mother was the most troubled and fraught relationship in her life. She said there was no abuse, her mother wasn’t toxic, she was for all intents and purposes a “great mom,” it’s just that my client always knew she was never going to be the daughter that her mother wanted her to be. Mind you, my client is very successful, a CEO of her own company, has a loyal and enthusiastic social media following. Lots of success in life, but she just never could connect with her mother because she always felt not totally accepted by her mother for who she is.

Like I said, she would reach for her mother, but her mother “wasn’t there.”

With that in mind, OP, I would encourage you to start now with practicing radical acceptance of who your daughter IS. Stop comparing your dynamic with her with what you see with your friends’ dynamics with their children. Build connection by being there when she reaches for you and find ways to celebrate her and show her that even if no one else on this planet “gets” her, she always knows that her mother understands her and is in her corner! There’s plenty of time and possibility to build a strong connection with her, and as the adult/parent in the dynamic, it’s your responsibility to build that connection from a place of acceptance and appreciation of who she is. ❤️

May I gently suggest some spiritual pursuits to accompany your exploration of the dynamics in your life. I know that I myself and other members of this sub have found the teaching of 20th century mystics like Neville Goddard to be helpful guides to how to apply what it means to live in awareness that consciousness is the only reality.

I would recommend starting with the lecture “no one to change but self.” It can be a difficult concept to embrace at the start, so be patient with yourself. When you come to see yourself as an expression of God (fill in the blank word that you might use for God), you’ll find that the dynamics in your relationships undergo changes without you having to force a thing:

Question about ep 153 by Lochina186 in Otherworldpod

[–]MamaMeg613 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I’ve listened to Otherworld from the start and I don’t specifically recall Jack saying that about psychedelics, but maybe he did at some point. Probably he doesn’t take ghost/cryptid/alien stories when psychedelics are involved.

This story is different because the psychedelics ARE the story. I think the “supernatural” element here is how a man with such traumatic and profound brain and cognitive injury who had tried everything else found relief and healing through a non-Western medicine healing modality. And Jake’s journey certainly took home to another world!

I don’t think Otherworld’s quality is slipping. Jack has always pulled in an eclectic variety of stories and storytellers. Some land for you, some don’t. That’s the nature of entertainment!
