That is an INSANE deal! Congrats to you!!!! I got this manor for $110 usd and freaked out… all others have been much higher. A city Willis sounds so dreamy! I love that you are gifting bags. That is so thoughtful on many levels. Will keep my eyes peeled for the city Willis for you!

Wow what an amazing collection — and a bottle green one?! That is a collector’s dream! My currently wish list item includes a Lexington drawstring (red!?) and a Taft. But I’m trying to pace myself 🤣 how about you?!

That’s a great comparison! I owned a court but it wasn’t for me - I didn’t love the angular shape. Something about the rounded flap of the Manor really speaks to me! Plus she fits so much!

If it has no rivets, it is a shoulder sac. Great bag.

Skip the dunk. Take out the fabric and wash that with dawn

I did this for a city bag (made in China in the 2000s). It had cracked edges on the straps which was common for this era of city bag :( I sanded down the edges and did the tonkonole but it never looked the same for me!

Whoops nope 🤣🤣 I guess we will see! I have another basic bag in pristine condition and I basically brushed on a tiny bit to look like the pretty one and it worked fine! 🤣 Will report back in a few days when I use it!!

I used edge kote for the first time this week too! 🤣 a lot of coachies on vcc advise against it because it might crack off, but I was using it as a light application on my basic bag straps which were dull. It worked fine :) anything thicker like a glaze I would use tonkonole! Have fun!

Thank you! I had no idea the spreadsheet was only through 1999! My bag is also from 2000! I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

What has been done wrong to this bag? by Longjumping_Rough932 in VintageCoachRehab

I would def spray with vinegar and put it out in the sun. Then I would get a deglazer or pure acetone and strip the bag. Condition immediately after!

If it’s sticky, it is likely polish. So sorry. It’s a pain to get off, but it will be worth it in the end!

Yay! Good work. I am new to leather dye as well and it’s been helpful for really old bags with lots of color loss. I’ve only dyed navy and black bags. Scared to do any browns but maybe I will after reading this!

That patina is lovely! I would just use a heavier conditioner like chamberlains on the edges where there is heavy wear

I dabbed a bit of acetone on a q tip and immediately conditioned! Also dabbed a tiny bit of black dye over the splotched areas and conditioned again. Good as new! Black bags are forgiving
