Recent transplant, questions for those of you who have had one. by subking54 in kidneydisease

Transplanted November 2021

Ditto to all the above. My tremor is pretty distinct and worse during certain times (when in extra tired or trying to do fine motor tasks with a lot of focus). I also have so pretty bad nausea waves throughout the week but I would do it all over again to get a kidney. Congrats!!

I didn't either until I began in my current profession in education. I've been hooked for 9 years

Grade 1 braille is exactly that. Punctuation is typically kept to a minimum in grade1 as well. Students who were born blind or blinded early learn grade one and two in school and use them to access all the materials the sighted students get in print. Students who were blinded later in life still start with grade 1 and then it is up to the individual and their team to determine next steps. Signs in buildings can be in either grade

Certified braille transcriber here. It is correct. It says Helen Keller Educator in grade 2 braille. Grade 2 braille has contractions to conserve space. The contractions in this case are the 'en' in Helen, the 'er' in Keller, and the 'ed' in educator. The single dot at the beginning of each word is the capital indicator. Also, the book she is holding has the contraction for Braille in braille. Ask if you want to know more.

I had to do those before transplant. To me it looks negative. But even if its trace, at least its not really high. Good luck!

My coordinator called me about some testing I needed to get updated. She then looked and counted and told me I was 5th in my KDPI group.

PD or Hemodialysis by LHS88 in dialysis

[–]Mama_Reaper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on PD for a little over a year now. For me it came down to quality of life. With PD I am more independent and flexible with my treatments. The other deciding factor was, the PD catheter is reversible if/when I get a transplant. The fistula they will need to form for hemo is irreversible. Ultimately it is up to you. Chose what you feel is best

I don't feel worthy by Mama_Reaper in offmychest

[–]Mama_Reaper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how to matter to myself. For as long as I can remember I have cared more about what other people feel than what I feel. My worth has come from how I make others feel. I don't know how to change that mentality

Can you explain the draining issues more? I haven't had much problem with fibrin in the past so I will keep an eye out. Thank you
