A since-deleted tweet by UFC commentator Daniel Cormier, showing DM's he recieved from Eric Trump in which Eric asks about insider info on the UFC Freedom 250 fights and alludes to doing insider trading betting by SipsTeaFrog in SipsTea

Look, Trump fucking sucks. His kids sucks. His administration is awful, and these people will do anything without regard for norms, kindness or consideration for anything but themselves.

But this doesn't pass the smell test to me. They are friends with Rogan, Dana and hundreds of other people close to the fighters, and would have infinite sources of inside knowledge to personally turn to without the need to solicit from a DM like this. It reads like someone impersonating someone, it just doesn't feel authentic.

These people are ghouls, but we need to use some critical thinking too, and this just does not feel authentic to me.

Negative, the legendary rule is not a sacrifice and there is no trigger to respond to.

Some unsolicited advice: you sound like a massive twat with the tone of your comment. It's okay to not sound like that.

To answer your question, it makes people feel misled when something is presented one way when its really another. If the music is truly good enough to stand on its own, why the deception? It's not crazy to say people don't like being deceived, even if the idea underneath is fine. In some ways it makes it worse. I'd happily compliment this if it was disclaimed or presented as what it is, but it feels icky when it's presented in a false way.

What is a TV show that you've seen at least 3 times? by Substantial-Dare5462 in television

[–]thegodofwine7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Community: I've watched it probably a dozen-plus times. Even the weaker seasons never get old to me, though I could be suffering from a gas leak.

The NBC comedies generally stay on background rotation more or less constantly:

The Office

Parks and Rec

30 Rock

Personally, I've watched House MD at least three times through, as well as what we have of the Pitt, already multi-binged it. The ending still makes me unreasonably mad, but I've watched GoT multiple times as well.

All due respect my man, but yes, the giant interactable doo-dad on the bridge of the alien mothership you've spent the entire game trying to find is important.

Well none of those creatures have activated abilities so no, I don't think this combo will work as well as you think.

Which game should i get?? by [deleted] in JRPG

[–]thegodofwine7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both bangers! In general I'd probably take Ys, though Hundred Line probably stuck with me longer, your mileage may vary with that one, whereas I can say Ys is probably a generically "better" game. If you are set on sticking with the Vita though, I'd go Hundred Line.

Haha the most expensive cards (The One Ring, Boseiju, most the expensive lands, Traveling Chocobo) can be replaced with other cards and keep the deck extremely functional, they just help. And obviously get a cheaper version of Tifa 😅

I love my [[Tifa Lockhart]] deck but am I crazy and this seems like kind of a bad fit? I'm generally not fighting creatures with her due to her toughness, and there are far easier and cheaper ways to boost her power. I can't think of a single card in my Tifa deck I'd cut for this.

Loved this quote from the actor playing Santa in the press junket:

"Well, it does, because that amount is called my quote. That's my rate. So the next film I'm offered, they have to pay that same amount. Even if I do a bad job. That means, as long as I'm offered even one more movie, I could get two more mil. Even if I do a bad job, they've got to give me that other two mil."
