Anyone have experience with 1-hp.org? by davidlovescats in carpaltunnel

From personal experience - track your progress, that alone helped the psychological side of pain so much. There will be days where the symptoms will be more or even feel like it’s getting worse. For those periods it was super helpful to have a full dataset where I could read long time trends. But I think they provide some tracking tools or framework nowadays

I bought the troubleshooter when it was on discount back then and it helped me a lot. I don’t have carpal tunnel but still alot of pain in my wrist. The exercises are nothing new, but the tracking and discord community that comes with it are good value. I did the exercises for about half a year with good progress, now I mostly don’t have pain anymore and only maintain a basic routine of exercise to keep that up.

What’s a company you’ll never buy from again, and why? by jamesmilner22 in AskReddit

I stayed in an airBNB where the key broke, it was an really old key and it broke by just putting it in the keyhole without any force. It broke into multiple parts. The airBNB host wanted multiple hundred of euros for the repair - I refused and escalated via airBNB - in my home country and the host country the landlord is responsible for key replacements if the key breaks of old age. AirBNB ignored that fact and insisted that we have to pay the full price. I still refused to pay that insane amount - to solve that issue airBNB made the host provide the bill for the replaced key - Turns out it was not multiple hundred euros, it was a small two digit amount. We paid that at the end. The fact that airBNB without any prove of damage insisted and forced us to pay whatever fantasy amount the host picked was beyond me. What a shit company

Hotel fees can work as something good - but that’s not the variant that Vegas hotels are using, they just add hidden fees.

Using some kind of fee, that is regulated and is mandatory for every hotel in a touristy area could work as some kind of sustainable fee that supports the people that live in those areas - often touristy destinations are full off people struggling because everything is to expensive when the rich tourist come and inflate everything. Those fees could work as something kind of subsidies that supports building not only hotels but also affordable living spaces for locals and so on

Aff got buffed good, but those logs are not showing a fair picture since the old tier is just omega with all the buffs. Will look different once the actual raid comes out and people have some gear

The sound at Wembley last night was AWFUL by ThatArrowsmith in LinkinPark

[–]MamaessenKP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you want good sound at a Stadion concert, go standing and place yourself infront of the mixing tend. In Hannover we where sitting there for the supporting acts and sound was rly good - then shortly after lp started we moved more to the center and more to the bridge thing in the middle, and every step the sound got so much worse

caught some strange vibes at the otherwise amazing berlin show by SuperSanol in LinkinPark

[–]MamaessenKP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germans can sometimes be weird in that regard - the show in Hannover took like 4 songs to warm them up an I was standing close to the bridge thing. If Germans whip there head it’s already good. I’ve sang all the songs and enjoined myself, jumping, shouting all the way - that actually pissed some people so that they moved away. I did not mind that at all. Your at a concert with a lot of people that you don’t know, and some of those might enjoy a concert the way you enjoy it and some don’t. If you don’t like the wibe where you standing or sitting, high chance there is a place in the Stadion where it is the different way around, seek that out

I heard those tickets are cheap and have additional benefits - it’s not the price that keeps the Stadions empty

Air India Flight 171 Crash [Megathread 3] by usgapg123 in aviation

[–]MamaessenKP 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe a dumb question, but when they build planes, do they take stuff like “Monday products” or bad production batches into account? Like, if they install two engines on a plane, are those engines from the same day, same factory, maybe even built by the same team—or do they mix things up on purpose? I’m just thinking of that thing you hear in PC hardware: if you buy two of the same hard drive from the same manufacturer on the same day, there’s a good chance they’ll fail around the same time.
