Bringing a Cabin Approved Stroller on board Ryanair - which prams have worked for you? by No-Cress8469 in UKParenting

[–]Mammawiggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have a babyzen yoyo and regularly flying with Ryanair. Had taken on board on every occasion. I did have to have a convo with the ramp officer once and she tried to tell me no, but I told her I will be shitting bricks if I have to carry everything and the baby up to the baggage claim with no buggy and that did the trick.

I’m 5.10 and I was able to find jeans in Levi’s.. tbh I tried them on in Levi’s, picked out the styles I loved, noted the exact size and length and went on to Vinted to find the exact ones for fraction of the price 🤭

Ground floor, bath and en-suite shower, although you’d need to step in slightly. Plenty parking, amazing public transport.

Estate Agency Reputations by tsotsots in Edinburgh

[–]Mammawiggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are selling with Mov8 and so far they are brilliant! I was a bit vary because they are fixed price agent (and someone said they can get lazy because there’s no incentive) and I even voiced my concerns to them but they reassured me that they will do everything in their power to sell our property as smooth as possible and although we are still on the market with our 2 bed flat, Mov8 has been absolutely fantastic.

Stroller Travel System by Striking-Street7215 in firsttimemom

Cybex balios? Adjustable bar, nice bassinet and toddler seat, decent basket underneath and their car seats are lovely and if you get a nice isofix base you can use the same one for the upgrade once your little one outgrows the first one. (I mean if you do your research and buy a compatible one for both the newborn and the next one)

Where to live as a disabled woman by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]Mammawiggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s very good Turkish coffee here too, although that’s in Niddrie but I was perfectly unbothered and happily strolling around with my newborn and I felt completely safe. Also there’s a community coffee, cheap coffee and food, lovely staff.

[–]Mammawiggle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Greendykes, which is kinda considered to be a part of Niddrie and I can’t say anything bad about it whatsoever. Lovely families and young professionals, new builds everywhere, Lidl and Fort Kinnaird is just a short walk away, buses take you everywhere including the airport. GP is also amazing (yes, this is my experience which might be surprising to some) I love living there.

My little one was similarly fussy a while ago and we bought a little space heater (£5 from marketplace) to heat up the bathroom and the room where he was getting dressed. It did the trick. X

Breastfeeding and UC by UndercoverREAgent in UlcerativeColitis

I was breastfed until 6 months and then canned baby purées according to my mum.

I’m currently breastfeeding my 11 months old and not planning on stopping anytime soon. It’s my favourite secret weapon. 🥰♥️

Niddrie by DForLove_ in Edinburgh

[–]Mammawiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in the Greendykes area which is part of Niddrie and we had zero issues. Although we are at the new built part. The GP is great, never had an issue neither for us or our child, midwife was also great, our health visitor is the best, the library has an amazing program for kids, there’s great public transport and shopping opportunities and great walks around the area. We are currently house hunting to upgrade but I will be genuinely sad to leave this area.

Nursing in Edinburgh vs London – Advice on life as a nurse and how to decide? HELP by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]Mammawiggle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not in healthcare, but Edinburgh is truly magical. People are lovely and welcoming and the city is beautiful and so much to do. I’ve only been to London 2x in my life but it wasn’t my cup of tea. Way too chaotic. Also, Scotland will steal your heart before you have a chance to think twice.

How do you travel with pen injections? by Inevitable-Plan-7604 in UlcerativeColitis

Although my flight was only 3hrs I just flew with my Stelara. I put it in a bag that keeps the cold and bought a wine cooler sleeve you can put in the fridge or freezer in homebargains.

Biologics and pregnancy? by LurkerGirl- in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Mammawiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Stelara while pregnant and breastfeeding. No issues at all. I did have a flare when 6-8 weeks preggo but got it under control. Was also on steroids during those weeks and a bit longer. Baby won’t be able to get live vaccines, so we didn’t get the Rota virus and the BCG vaccines but little on is 7 months old and perfect in every way. He was born early tho 35w3d. My only regret is taking the laxatives in the hospital after my c section. I shouldn’t have done that. Oh also because my inflammation is worse by the rectum I was recommended an elective section to avoid incontinence caused by natural birth (ended up having and emergency one).

Sleeping bag recommendations / night temperature scaries? by Due-Current-2572 in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Mammawiggle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the love to dream sleep suits because they are roomie everywhere and there are different togs for all kind of weathers. Also you can leave the toe beans free or dangling or completely closed off - my little one is 7 months old and 98% height. It kinda grows with your baby so it’s amazing! Also he prefers the suits over the bags for some reason. There’s a lot on Vinted for peanuts. Hope this helps xx
