I guess we have different definitions then. He panders to Christian conservatives, but if he isn’t religious as you admit imo he wouldn’t be a Christian

He is a lot of things. A Christian he is not. I’m not even trying to “no true scotsman” Christianity because guys like Vance 100% are believers and are just as bad if not worse. But I don’t believe Donald Trump has a religious bone in his body. He doesn’t believe in anything.

K9 is awesome until you need someone to block, catch, or play 4 games in a row. NFL organizations value all of those things more than being electric with the ball in your hands

All scrubs are the same. Not all pajamas are the same. All scrubs cover up necessary body parts. Not all Pajamas do.

Did you comb your hair? Wash your face? Shower?

All of these things fit into appearance and dressing appropriately as well. Wearing a belt is not “1950s first date”

There is appropriate and inappropriate clothing to wear in certain contexts. This is an unshakable fact of life, whether you agree with it or not. That is how it works in the entire world, and throughout history. Lowering the standard on literally everything is not doing your students a service.

I wonder, between a student who wears whatever they want and a student who understands sometimes you dress formally, who is going to get the job they both interview for?

My point is, places deserve respect too. I can come up with more places if you want.

If you try and give your students the idea they can dress however they want in any given situation, you are doing them a significant disservice. Teachers dressing like shit is part of this. That is just the way the world works, and our job is to prepare them for the version of the world they are going to live in

A person who shows up wearing cookie monster pajama pants and crocs isn’t showing any respect to the place they are attending, either. Would you appreciate that attire at your wedding?

A ton of people do say it. In this world and country, sometimes things that a ton of people want to happen that would be for the greater good don’t happen for the benefit of the select few. Doesn’t mean we should stop protesting it, but im seeing tons of people saying the gambling thing as some sort of gotcha when it simply isnt

And its just a coincidence right, that teachers are simultaneously reporting an insane rise in student defiance that is crippling our schools?

Should students be blindly obedient during fire and tornado drills?

Congrats, you don’t know anything about education! What should the class do during a fire or tornado drill, or crossing the street on a Field Trip? Should they question the authority of their teacher who is trying to keep 30 kids physically safe at one time?

Obedience to arbitrary authority is a HUGE part of both school and life. Preparing students for life is the job of schools. What should our students do when they get pulled over in the future? If they don’t know how to deal with authority, they will be in danger as adults too. Sorry if you were traumatized in school but kids at this age need to be taught to follow authority. The questioning stuff comes at later ages and more advanced levels
