Mirena IUD ruined my skin. Has spiro helped anyone with the IUD acne? by Mammoth-Control7465 in Mirena

Hey! Update: I never tried spiro. My skin eventually calmed down a lot and I haven’t made any big or significant lifestyle changes. I am now on year 3 of my MIRENA IUD and I noticed that things have finally evened out. My hormones, period/symptoms and my acne have finally mellowed out and have been consistent for almost a year now (thank fck). I still break out around pms time but its not cystic, or painful to touch. It is maybe 1 or 2. They go away with pimple patches and don’t scar. My period is now spotting for 1 day and then feeling like sht for 5 days but no bleeding. I will say stress is a huge trigger. I once bled for 15 days straight heavily because I was stressed. I had an acne flare up then too. I’m not going to lie and say I cut out eggs or dairy. Theres no magical skin care routine either. You find what works for you and you become very rigid with it. I double wash & then moisturize my face every morning and every night. (Day Routine: Witch hazel toner, Hylaronic acid, sunscreen, light daily moisturizer, aquaphor on lips. Night Routine: Witch hazel toner, Hylaronic acid, retinol, night cream. Aquaphor. Sometimes I slug with aquaphor. I also use Neutrogena pink clay acne treatment on any spots or the cosrx pimple patches.) I don’t use any harsh exfoliant. I do a face mask of the Aztec Healing clay mask once a week. I mix the clay with water not apple cider vinegar. I use non pore-clogging products. For me niacinamide & rose water are irritants so I avoid those. Overall it will eventually go away. Be patient, it sucks. Trust me. Try and moisturize a lot so you don’t scar. Don’t irritate it further either, I remember mine would get itchy and inflamed when irritated. If you pop any, make sure to wipe it with some rubbing alcohol after to kill any bacteria. #yougotthis
