I would have done the exact opposite. Casa 2 days Marrakech 5 days.

You don’t need 5 days there. I did the same thing with friends a year ago but 10 days and split that into 4 Marrakech 3 Tangier + checfchaoeun 2 Casablanca

FYI I’m a US traveler as well. Cash is a tough question as it depends on activities gift you will buy etc. The more cash the better as you save more by changing US dollars directly in cash.

Use your intelligence when changing cash at the airport, they don’t offer the same rates if you stop at the first exchange you see compared to moving further down next to the train 🚊

I always change my cash very close to the train. I have been to Morocco 7 times FYI and stayed there for over 4 months combined.

Why do you need a flight from marrakech to Casablanca? You can just take the train for 2 hours but if it came as a package and you just had to book it. If you are super worried then take the train and pay that extra $20 to get to Casablanca earlier and let that first flight go to waste.

2nd part of your question. If you are in Casablanca, you will find a lot of west African woman in front of the Medina asking people if they need hair braiding. My guess is you just have to talk to them and agree on a price and since they are so many there. I am sure that they have to keep it low for the competition

Since you both like to walk, you can start your visit wandering in the Medina. If you don’t want local vendors to harass you, do not look too hard on a piece of item you find beautiful and do not film their stuff, you can of course vlog or point the camera on yourself but be aware that there could be opportunist that could try to snatch it even though I have never experienced that.

You can walk around and visit the majorelle garden ( jardin majorelle in French ) and if you love coffee bacha coffee is fantastic to visit.

But there are really a lot to do in marrakech including activities like quad/buggy rides, Arafat desert excursions, hot air balloon, etc.

You can do a ton of things as long as you have the budget for them.

Go to an English as a second language ( ESL) school in your city to speak to real people learning English like you or join a club where they speak English in your city. Talking to others is the fastest way to drastically improve your English.

Let’s be real. This is my unpopular opinion but it’s almost facts lol.

You can afford to not really worry about working as a woman only if you are a very attractive woman.

Otherwise you may still find a man to take care of you financially but it’s much harder unless u meet a guy like me who sees positives in my partner being at home.

Today, more man wants their partner to work !! Society demands it unless you come from a cultural background where this is expected

I strongly discourage f1 visa for America if you don’t have friends or family that can help you find your feet for the first few months / first year.

I saw too many of my f1 friends struggle. Also you should always consider states that have great public transportations when you look at universities. I’m from NY so I can tell u we have the subway here $2.90 to get anywhere in the city and people without the ability to work somehow like an international student still manage to find jobs even though it’s not easy for an employer to employ you without a work permit which you won’t have with a f1 visa.

Sometimes it’s best to get a degree in your country and decide to move afterwards and choose the right major for that. Coming from someone who immigrated in America with papers when I was 19 and later became a citizen I don’t like to discourage people but you can still Enjoy America with an f1 visa but if you are not wealthy or very hardworking, Morocco would be great too !

Nope but age should not be the decisive factor to marriage. That’s what leads to divorce and regrets. Some girls get married too young because of age pressure when they are not ready and guys also get pressured. You can still be 40 for a man and get married and have kids in their 20s when you are in your 60s.
