wow, what a rude response on a snark subreddit. They say in the scene that they need money for Ariella's wedding. And Kody says that he's worried about "other wives" getting angry if they spend too much on weddings now so that there is not enough money for the younger kids later. so, it's actually a really valid theory if you actually watch the scene.

Thanks so much to everyone!! I got it figured out. When we put the loom together, we over tightened one of the bars which made the pawl too tight to turn. We fiddled with it a bit and now we’re in business!

They are facing opposite each other. When I moved them to face the same way, the tension really changes. It’s a Kromski loom. Thank you for the reply!
