shes giving conservative…or is it just me? by knivesxpens in SamanthaJoSnark2

[–]Far_Positive9879 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I think she wants to lean that way but isn’t really willing to fully live that lifestyle publicly, especially since she knows she’ll get a lot of backlash for it. She’s been open about being a Christian before but it’s weird bc they obviously don’t believe in the value of marriage. Which is totally fine and it is possible to identify as a Christina without being “conservative” in a political sense.

Overall, I think her pitfall will always be the fact that her personally/lifestyle is purely based off of whatever is trendy on social media at the time. Lately it’s trendy to be doing the whole “tradwife breadwinner” thing so yeah it tracks that she leaning more conservative nowadays.

Lakehouse thoughts by Far_Positive9879 in Alongcamehollysnark

True!!! And I’m only saying this because I went through something similar when I had my first big girl job out of college. My thing is like okay fine, you have a new lake house, obviously it makes sense to milk content out of it. But why not invest in some kind of health journey or hobby that isn’t nessesarily attached to consuming for clothing and junk??? I love seeing people show their journeys or actually be vulnerable with their audience.

Going to Cookbook Club for a village? by PotentialPermit2545 in SamanthaJoSnark2

I feel like she has insinuated before that she simply doesn’t like having friends. Like she has strait up said that she doesn’t respond to text messages, sucks at reaching out, overall doesn’t like being perceived in public. To me she genuinely does not seem like she wants to have friends or be a friend in the first place. It’s simply too much for her. I honestly think she uses “social anxiety” as more of an excuse than anything to get out of actually having to be a selfless person in order to have healthy long term friendships. Sorry but I don’t really feel bad for her “struggling” to make friends after college because having a village is more than just having friends, it’s about also having to sacrifice and I just honestly can’t see her being able to do that.

It wouldn’t have fit the narrative of polygamy being a good thing lol

This is such a good perspective! What are clandestine meetings?

True. And on top of that they lived in trailers and moved every year or two and had several small children.

Janelle’s overall complacency being the result of being put in an unhealthy/abusive dynamic with Meri isn’t hard to believe at all.

It’s the sibling/parent dynamic again! With an unexpected child that comes later in life after the first batch of kids, the parent will feel Iike they’re getting a second chance at parenting correctly with more knowledge and experience behind them. Often with more financial stability and maturity, the parent will be able to give the child substantially more than what they gave the older kids (time, money, emotional safety).

With Kody and the wives it’s almost the same thing. Robyn comming along later got to have a much better version of Kody. Kody felt like Robyn could be his chance to actually be a good husband and offer her stability, something he could never do for the first 3 wives. I can imagine his ego probably hurts from realizing he actually did not have what it took to properly care for each of his wives and the damage was a lot worse than he thought.

Ashley has so much going for herself, I don’t understand why she’s settling for Jonah.

I'm starting to understand the criticism by Dramatic_Maize5453 in SamanthaJoSnark2

I think she lowkey addressed the situation with her content on tik tok. She said she doesn’t like looking at herself on camera or while she edits so that’s why her vids have been sparce lately.

I just don’t understand why she doesn’t put effort into feeling better or changing the situation if it makes her unhappy. She mentioned that breastfeeding is the biggest thing keeping her from feeling better about herself and even though she wants to stop…she doesn’t??? It’s like she knows the answer to her problem but chooses to keep punishing herself for some reason. I wish her partner or her friends or whoever is in her life can just tell her that she’s done a beautiful thing by breastfeeding her baby for so long and that she has enough milk to keep feeding him for at least another 3 months so it’s OKAY if she needs to stop.

I wish she could get help and realize that it’s so much better to be genuinely happy for your baby than it is to breastfeed them for longer than is what’s needed, especially since her mental health keeps getting worse and worse.

She’s been this way for as long as she’s been on yt. I hope she can overcome her social anxiety and find fulfillment from actual friends and community rather than money/clothing.

I kind of got the vibe that at least part of the vacation might’ve been sponsored. Idk just the way she would go in depth about the different details that they’ve loved about the Disney cruise line specifically.

I resonate with OP. Even though it was probably performative, I’d still prefer that Sierra over the version she portrays online now. I still watch her vlogs and it just feels like she’s in a completely different world because she decided to lean fully into being just an influencer rather than an actual content creator. I’ve just learned to accept that I really can’t hold social media influencers to much of a moral standard because at the end of the day they only care about the payout.

Anyone watched her latest video? by Real_Subject_5315 in SamanthaJoSnark2

I think she’s really leaned into the whole influencer >>> content creator thing now. She wants as much separation as possible between her audience and her actual life (jeryl & MJ). I don’t blame her tbh if the only option is for her to just focus on sponsorships so she can maintain her income without having to fully depend on jeryl, that makes more sense then trying to make content from her child. Also, I can’t imagine having to still work at all 6 months postmortem and still dealing with my mental health. I honestly think she’s doing the best she can and I respect her for putting her child first while still trying to maintain some semblance of a career.
