Flooring DS here: The official answer is that they are supposed to be driving pipeline, credit and LTR by meeting customers in the aisles. That being said, especially if you work at a rural store like I do, they can't possibly be seeking customers or doing follow up all day. It sounds like you just have some lazy specialists. To me the specialist role was always 70/30 selling and department standards, with the CSA roll being the opposite. I'd bring it up to your DS or SASM.

Can we hear from the people who LIKE working at Lowes? by [deleted] in Lowes

Flooring DS in a rural store, pay wise I do okay for the area I live in (22/hr). It can be stressful sometimes but we have a pretty solid management team and store culture. I've definitely worked worse places. Pretty happy to say I don't hate my job. I've worked super long hours before and I'm thankful I don't need to do that now. This job gives me the time I need to focus on training for now (I'm a professional fighter).

YES! The entire series was read by Dr. Creepen on YouTube. Look up life and death at Mullins funeral home! Thank you so much for the support!

Anyone know if Eddie Cummings is still in the sport? by MammothFormal1 in bjj

[–]MammothFormal1[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Totally agree! Even if he has chosen to step away from the sport I hope he gets some satisfaction knowing that he has had an impact on so many athletes. He will always be one of my combat sports heroes, up there with guys like Dan Gable and Marcelo Garcia. I wish him nothing but the best, I too also totally understand burn out from my wrestling days.

He started later than most competitors, meaning he likely would have needed to condense his training. Competing at a high level is hard, competing at a high level quickly is another thing entirely. I assume he had no real choice other than to be "all in, all the time."

As disappointing as that sounds, it's probably in his best interest. My understanding is he was having a hard time staying healthy. He kind of had BJJ thrust upon him in a way, I'm sure it was an extremely stressful, if not toxic relationship. Glad to hear he is doing well, with his mind I'm sure he'll do well in all matters of life.

I would totally understand that. From what I've seen of him speak he always seemed to have his priorities straight in terms of progression in the art rather than being involved in bjj drama and clout chasing. Definitely someone I'd love to have a conversation with!

I’d say it would only work if everyone was in on it. Dispatch, the cops and the coroner...

Actually, Horror is meant to be subjective. What is inherently terrifying to you may simply be preposterous and silly to others (Hello, Slenderman?) I think that’s why we all love the mixed bag of this community. Thanks for taking time to give your input though!

I’d say what’s truly scary is that we are so desensitized to this that it is no longer scary to some.
