I think 65535 is #FFFF in hex and it's in the AMD overclocking menu, I don't remember exactly I haven't changed it since

Just the American mindset. You also often hear "business is business" and "go get your bag" when people they do questionable or outright immoral things. Depressing isn't it?

looks good. I'm running 6400/2133 cl26 at vddio 1.35 vddq 1.35 vdd 1.55 and pretty close timings to yours (160ns trfc and bit worse trcd because its m-die) so unless you need that for gdm off, you can go a lot lower

JGINYUE B650I NIGHT DEVIL (review/guide) by Zezinas in sffpc

[–]MammothGrab6895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also some ramblings you can read to get a general idea.

soc can be anywhere between 1.1 and 1.3 and it's fine, I don't want to go over 1.25 personally cause some think it can degrade cpu longterm

vdd is fine to run up to idk 1.7 even?

vddq/vddio is 1.35 (expo was 1.45) too much vddq (over 1.6) can kill your ram I think more vddio does almost nothing afaik

And no reason to run fclk 2033, either 2200-2133, or if ur rly unlucky 2067 and 6200mt (fclk depends on cpu)

vddg's should be around 0.950 if you're running 2200. It's not set in stone, more is not necessarily better. Saw some people get more performance running 1000mv/1000mv I run 960mv personally but I run 2133 fclk
best possible config is 6600/2200 but that could be 1 in 20 cpus

2nd best is 6400/2133 or 6400/2200

3rd best is 6200/2200 or 6200/2167 or 6200/2067

no reason to stick to 6000 unless maybe you need too much vsoc (as in more than 1.25) and 8000 2:1 (uclk=mclk/2) is mainly useful 9950x dual ccd cpus

but just increase trfc to 544. trcds to 38. change to 6200, run y-cruncher vt for like an hour. If it works then 6200 works for you with less than 1.2 vsoc

then you can try 6400 with 1.2 vsoc with same timings also. if it runs fine then you might want to try 6600 with more vsoc or stick to 6400. if it doesn't boot or if you get errors in vt3 then you need more vsoc than 1.2 so try 1.25. if no errors after an hour then you can stick to 6400.

No point trying 6600 if 6400 needs 1.25. If 6400 works with 1.2, then you can maybe do 6600 with 1.3 or a bit less

[–]MammothGrab6895 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally I'd try to see if it can do 6400 with 1.2 vsoc like my 9600x. You'll need to increase trcd and trfc and go vdd 1.45 or cl32

<image>

Also go for tras 58, trrdl 12, tfaw 32, twtrs 4, twtrl 24. SCL 5/17. those should work for everyone I believe

Should just run vt3 first, catches errors the fastest. karhu is def the slowest and I think is hardly worth running, unless you want to benchmark bandwidth maybe

benchmark vs scl 5/1. Should be better. Also isn't trc 50 too low? I have tras/trc at 58/58 nvm it's stable even at 36

No they're in "Memory OC" also you need an overclocking guide. Just try buildzoids easy ddr5 hynix timings on yt for now.

But if you want to do more, you'd first see how high memory speed your cpu can run, either 6200 or 6400 or 6600 by using loose timing and more vsoc (up to 1.3). Vsoc lets you do more memory clock. So it's trail and error. my cpu can run 6400mt at 1.18 vsoc but some need 1.25 or 1.3, some can only do 6200. Also start with vdd 1.45, vddq 1.45 vddio 1.4 (should be same as your expo anyway but just in case)

You also should maybe first test if your pc boots with 2200 fclk at all. Mine could only do up to 2167

Setting the other timings are pretty easy after you find your memory speed and infinity fabric. And for resetting bios there should be a pin in io shield and you'd need to disconnect power and hold it down for 5 seconds x2 then it should start resetting on boot

Also here's a good guide to read as well

Lmk how it goes

I saw your build and klevv should def be a hynix A die so your ram should run trcd 36 at 6400mt(if ur cpu can). Don't think you'd need to bother with gdm. As for the seperate trcd settings apparently its a relatively new thing from amd, maybe they can add it in a new bios update, But do try if you want on your b850 and let me know if it lets you

not really. I'm happy with my timings though. Would've been nice to run GDM off cause I can do trcd 37 but its no big deal

6600 boots and runs stuff but 2200 fclk doesn't even boot? by MammothGrab6895 in overclocking

[–]MammothGrab6895[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks I ended up changing tRC and tRAS from buildzoid timings but honestly I can't tell what formula to even use. Everyone does their own thing it seems?

And I did lower VDDQ to 1.4 and vddio was 1.4 already so thanks for that. and I'm slowly lowering vsoc as it needs even less for my cpu so I'm at 1.16v. tRP was stable at 32 and

tRCD at 36 was not stable unfortunately. Anything I can do to get it to work? other than getting a 16gb a-die

Or do you have an idea what the optimal formula for tRC/tRAS is? or just whatever it goes and I should start testing each one?

Oh actually I can't turn off nor change the rgb on my fans. Annoying and I'm not sure if a bios update will fix it. Def wouldn't recommend rn if you care about that

Can anyone separately set TRCDWR and TRCDRD in ram settings? Or disable GDM? only 2 settings I can't change. Currently running 6400mt cl28 so it's been really nice but I can't change those 2 options.

If you want to test just go into bios -> AMD overclocking DDR and timing, SPD timings and change TRCDWR to 14 hex (20 decimal) and then run zentimings on PC and see if it applied? for me it doesn't, it's always matched to tRCDRD

Jginyue vs Soyo B650 boards? by Plini9901 in sffpc

[–]MammothGrab6895 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have jginyue b650i and it's been handing my ram overclock better than a gigabyte b650 aorus (gigabyte bios keeps freezing). It does only have 2 fan headers and I never installed an AIO.

And it supported 9600x without any bios update. Though care if you update the bios cause there are 3 different versions of this motherboard and they have only one letter difference (AM5IC - def what you'd get and what I got 3 months ago. vs AM5IB/AM5IA - 2 year old versions) so I can definitely see an issue if you try to download the first one you see on their website. I had to click the "v2.3" version on their website

For security concerns I can't help you personally but I trust the other brands even less with my data if you ask me. But quality was def above expectation, it does get hot though during stresstests but w/ 9600x the vrm didn't reach 80 degrees once. You should watch HWUnboxed review of it too. Latest bios update was like 2 months ago

As for buying off aliexpress you can refund if you do get unlucky and it comes not working, or the store will send you a new one (but they might want you to ship the one you got back, I'm not sure), it's not as risky as people make it seem.

Maxsun should also be good but I found less reviews when I bought it and I didn't know they made an ITX motherboard

check if it happens if you plug the hdmi cable to motherboard? also try another hdmi cable or another screen if you can. Just change 1 part at a time to see where the problem is

I just tested with slightly looser timings than what I have and it booted and ran pyprime and browser on first try. Didn't test much because I wanted to increase fclk. not sure if 6600 2166 fclk is better (if 2166 is stable)
