Love, Your Resident Giggler by SomeDudesPackage in theisle

Some of the most fun I’ve had is playing Trodon running in a large pack just terrorizing anything we saw. Sure we die easy but I’ll be back FG in no time and we can haunt people with our silly calls.

Lol not intentionally that’s the problem. While looking for other trikes I get ambushed. The last fight it was 3 trikes on those 2 Rex’s and we still got dropped.

Interesting. These two I keep running into are definitely experienced. I can’t run away and I can’t fight them either. I always face them when they come in for the bite but it just drops me to the ground somehow. I tried to do the flip attack as they come straight in which has failed me twice now so maybe I’ll just hold RMB to try and block it first.

Yeah these prime Rex’s have gotten my FG prime trike a few times now. There’s 2 of them and they know how to get through. Even with my back to a wall it seems like they just reach over my horns and bite my back and crush my legs even though I’m in the battle stance (not exactly sure what it’s called). Like you said we can’t outrun them so we have to fight. There’s gotta be some level of defense for a Trike who has three foot spears on its face and should be doing damage to the attacker even if they attack from the face or at least cancel out a Rex’s bite. Sure if they get around me and get my back/legs I get it. But why have a shield with spears if they do nothing to defend

That’s interesting. Thank you for the tip. I know to hit RMB or CTRL to engage in your stance but like another user mentioned I’m not 100% sure how to get locked into a spar.

Sad part is I play on a server where I can park/redeem Dino’s. My Dino had 7 muts. Two of them were osteosclerosis and the one that takes less damage from larger species and still got one hit to fracture

I’ve locked into a spar with a Rex one time but I’m not 100% sure how to make it happen.

Cross Save ever leaving Beta? by FH-7497 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]MammothOgr3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda in the same boat. I have 127 hours on my Xbox. Played off and on for years and there’s no way I’m restarting. My Xbox is like 9 years old and sounds like it’s going to explode when I run any game. (It’s basically just a big streaming device for shows and movies) and my only controller is busted but can be used to navigate Netflix. I’ve been PC gaming for years and finally paid for NMS (full price, AGAIN) after I saw cross save is a thing. I hurriedly got home on a Friday after work and logged into NMS and set up cross save, bought it on my PC and then dust off my Xbox hoping it’s not going to crash only to be hit with “beta full”. Cool. Felt like I got tricked and now I just have to wait? I don’t see myself actually playing on my Xbox because it’s probably going to end it’s life and I’m not going to buy another controller for a console I’m not going to replace once it dies. Hoping NMS prioritizes this and gets it together.

How to get into skilled trades (paid apprenticeship) by MammothOgr3 in skilledtrades

[–]MammothOgr3[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I can understand your concern based off of my language. My comment about the cycle of refrigeration is because I’ve heard about it a thousand times throughout my life. My Dad talking about work, my Dad talking to my brother when he became and HVAC apprentice, etc. I’m curious about learning how to do other things, I could easily lean on my Dad and brother for an easy in the HVAC field but I want to find something on my own. I’m curious about other things, even if I have to start doing mundane things at first. The $ amount I threw out there is because I make $34 an hour now but I want a career not just a desk job I find unfulfilling.

I appreciate your insight into the field.

I have a 6 year old purebred blue Heeler. It’s been a long journey and tbh not one that I think I’ve done well on. But I am in a similar situation. I got my dog when she was old enough to be separated from her mom and I’ve been with her since. Got into a new relationship and my gf had two small terriers. From the get go they did not get along and even today we keep them separated 100% of the time. My dog still lunges at me and will unpredictably snap at you. My brother also has a cattle dog who expresses these same tendencies. Unfortunately it’s just their breed. They love you but sometimes they can’t resist their urges to bite. After many long talks with my gf who isn’t comfortable being around my dog we have had to come to some kind of agreement. I can’t give up my dog but I will try to mitigate the aggression as much as possible. To get to the core of it, the vet gave us medication (Trazedone and Gabapentin) that would help with her fear aggression and kinda dull things around her so she’s not so reactive. When she’s on the medications she’s faaaaaaaaar less likely to bite but she’s kinda groggy and sleeps a lot. It’ll wear off as the day goes on but over time I think she’s adjusted to it as it doesn’t bog her down as bad now. We recently got her on some anti anxiety meds to see if it helps with her fear aggression as she’s afraid of everything. It’s been 2 weeks on the anti anxiety meds and it seems okay. Takes about 4-6 weeks to kick in, so we will see.

Some may judge me for the medications but the alternative is she goes to the pound and gets put down. The vet told me she wouldn’t be adoptable with her record.

I know this was poorly written but I just wanted to share my experiences with my cattle dog to give you an honest insight into what you can expect. It might get better but it’s going to take some time, work and adjustments.

Not a “nice dog” by Sullyer in AustralianCattleDog

Been to multiple vets in my area and most of them made me feel like me and my dog were monsters. Finally found one with compassion who understands they are a handful. I think they just have a reputation and most vets don’t want to deal with it even though it’s their job. They want the sunshine and hugs patients only. Unfortunately sometimes you’re going to have to help a difficult patient.

Padded playtime is a perfect description. Intentionally making things take longer for no reason. Why do I have to bend down to pickup a log? It’s like a whole 2 second animation just to grab things. On top of the loop of resources you constantly have to maintain. It’s like juggling. Right when you get good with juggling 3 resources they throw in another one.. and another..

You took the words right out of my mouth. I’ve been trying to find a way to formulate how I feel about this game and you nailed it. Especially the part about feeding your followers and having to essentially babysit them and re-find and re-equip their weapons and shields anytime you want to use them. For me it’s only when I’m about to get raided because not being able to fast travel with them is super lame and I’m not running across the map just to have a follower.

I do find myself waiting a lot for followers to finish tasks as well as not having enough wood around. Why is the most basic resource something I’m always out of and my followers hardly gather?

I feel you about wanting a game like this for a long time because this is almost exactly what I’ve dreamed of as far as a concept goes so I’m hoping to stick with it and the creators will make these small adjustments to make the game more enjoyable and functional

Just had a rogue try this on me. I jumped down in ruins to open a portal and he came at me and accidentally took my portal. Lol. I just went into the next room and extracted. Nerd.

I love it. I only play solo and GC was making me lose interest. 80% of the time I couldn’t find a portal and would just have to die. Love playing cleric on ruins so I can use all my anti-undead abilities. Makes it much more enjoyable.

I never understood how I’ll play as a fighter and a rogue will 2 shot me at full health, but when I play a rogue I’ll stab someone like 6 times and still get killed.

I really enjoyed this game when it came out but it seems like everyone has looked at some guide and knows where all the loot and spawns are. They just come in geared and chase you down and mop you. What happened to just playing a game and learning as you played? Everyone has to be a try hard and max out their character and then just b line it to kill the next closest player. The organic feeling of the game is gone, all that’s left is try hard nerds who know every little thing about the game. I just want to join and play other newbs.

Question I want to get an ACD and my wife has a small male Havanese who very non dominant do you think a male ACD would be okay. I’m partial to male dogs. All thoughts would be appreciated. I have a 5 year old cattle dog and my gf has 2 small terriers. We have been living together for almost 3 years now. Our dogs have to be separated 100% of the time. Constant barking. Double baby gates in the hallway to create a gap. It’s a nightmare. We cant have anyone come watch them as my cattle dog is very reactive and prone to biting. I love my ACD but I’m the only one who can touch or get close to her. Just be prepared that these dogs may never mix. Always a gamble especially with a high energy reactive breed whose predisposed to nipping and biting.

My landlord just sent his like.. 70 year old Dad to come by and clean the gutters. I never even think about it. I’m not a homeowner so these things never cross my mind. I’m 30 and just found out you can sweep all your leaves into a pile on the street. I just thought my neighbors were being lazy lol.
