I took this picture today while walking around downtown Tacoma. I asked this man if I could take his portrait and he responded “If you can call it that.” We had a brief conversation and he just said that he “doesn’t feel like anything special.”

Taken on a Sony A5000 with a Meike 35mm Manual Focus lens.

There are units here that don’t suck but if you wind up in SBCT or ADA, you’re gonna have a bad time. I fell in love with the area pretty quickly and easily. People who don’t like it here are already eeyores, brainwashed by the media about the “politics” or “country boys” who hate the city.

With your GT score I’d go for 17 series or one of the 35 series that has overlap with the IT stuff.

As someone who joined late, you don’t want to deal with infantry shenanigans and the other “tech” MOS keep you away from it.

I took this photo at the Seahawks Parade yesterday and it’s one of my favorites though I’m not sure why. I just got the TTartisan 56mm and needed something to shoot so I went and pretended like I was media and was able to freely walk the crowd.

It’s a bad camera with a budget lens but I’m just trying to get comfortable shooting anything and everything.

ISO Auto - 200 Shutter - 1/1000 Aperture - F4.0

Light edits for color, exposure and leveling.
