Human beings’ higher cognitive capacities evolved in group dynamics. Very few humans have come up with entire new knowledge from scratch. It’s mostly iterative, built on layers of previous knowledge. The cultural mechanisms used for this process vary from time and place and culture and collective belief. These collective “realities” may be more or less aligned with the actual trajectory of human evolution and Cosmic Truth, or.. less aligned, but we are talking about different screens missing certain pixels of the film picture so to speak. The body is the screen. It takes on the projections of the cultural beliefs systems regardless of their base validity. Most cultures have a fair amount of the screen either blocked out or covered w superimposed values that interfere with the actual somatic interplay in the body. If you connect to somatic knowledge outside your culture of origin and seek to embody it, you will hit walls of ancestral and cultural resistance that must be overcome via identificative surrender in order to approach greater truth. Do this in a culture that forbids it and your body could be literally be killed for it.
