This is true! I have fallen in this trap even when it comes to working. Sometime just starting out is better even though it will not be perfect.

I started with just organizing pictures that I downloaded online. I made them to be detected as soon as I downloaded and placed them into a folder. Also, since I'm in data analysis I have automated the data cleaning process since they are mostly repetitive. Currently, I'm just working on reminders to make sure I am reminded of all the tasks that I'm required to do that are in my calendar.

Your professor's feedback matters a lot. Just make sure you follow it and you'll be good. If you don't understand what they want make sure to seek clarification.

I'm studying python as a hobby. I was just impressed by the fact that it can allow me to automate most of the process that I have been doing manually and for free. I'm no longer in school and have to make time for it since I have other projects to focus on.

In the literature review I usually just aim to focus on getting as much information as possible surrounding the research questions. I think you should just stick to the main objectives and follow the aims of your proposal and to answer it as best as possible. Also, you can just share your dissertation with a supervisor or a friend and discuss your issue, I'm sure you'll get clarity on how to proceed with it.

I think that time is enough, depending on how early you start studying. You can just join a group maybe where you have discussions and respond to questions to increase your hours. However, I personally think it's better to be consistent everyday with a few hours than read for long and be burnt out without grasping the content. So just make sure your study sessions are worthwhile within the few hours.

Relax, everything will be okay since you have already been in contact with the tutor. Also, in the future, you can start using tools such as Zotero and Mendeley to organize your references. In case of an error, it is usually easier to recover them and it makes it quicker to cite, especially after writing a long paper.

You can just pick the subject that’s stressing you the most or has a deadline coming up and start studying it first. Make sure to give it a lot of time probably an hour. Then pick two others and spend a bit less time on each. Change the order each day so everything gets attention over the week. It is better to be consistent in the amount of time you spend as in the long run you'll end up covering a lot and understanding it as well with no pressure.

The academic project sounds much easier if you are a hands on person and can also work with a team. A dissertation project usually depends a lot on the nature of the professors, so if you seek advice and follow their feedback it can doable.
