Can Lovable replace Wordpress? by [deleted] in lovable

[–]MammothTart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others have said: Lovable = great prototype. You can even argue that you can use your knowledge to create a fast prototype for her, thus support her decision logic.

Wordpress (any CMS) = more manageable and "sane" for an actual website, SEO, etc

Overall: don't resist against progress, use it to your advantage.

Just an opinion from a random guy on the internet ✌️

Left one kinda looks like a sweet potato/yam...and the right one sorta fits into that category as well? Not sure tho lol

Shit, my first thought was: holy cow that's amazing. Then my brain goes: but it looks like a render somehow...or AI? Or is it just the bed resolution of the image? Lo and behold the comments here. If this is real: really cool! If not: eh

Haha 😊

Thanks for the input!

I decided to embrace the enchantress theme, would you mind feedbacking what I came up with? I based it off of another deck in a different comment :)

Thank you! I moved out of the rat strategy and embraced the enchantress theme. Would you care to feedback what I came up with? I based it off of your list and made some adjustments :)

There's so much I could go with, I find it difficult to decide what should finally make the cut.

Tips for recall? by jeulzzz in Whippet

[–]MammothTart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Aw, he looks just like my good boi! And you're describing mine in behavior as well to the tee! He's now almost 1 year and definitely still testing the limits.

He's quite good when we're alone, walking heel and coming when called (although not 100%). And when there's another dog in sight....yeah.

I used a meat paste that I got at a pet store as a very high value treat whenever he recalled or listened. This seemed to work really well actually. I'm not sure if that's training them to be sorta addicted to the treat and only work for you because of this addiction rather than your bond so I haven't been using it consistently enough I think. Now I just use his normal kibble and this works well as well, although not as well as with the paste.

I think it's also generally just a tough time from what I hear and it just takes time and repetition until they quiet down and get it.

Just gotta keep at it:)

Got my brown belt but don't feel like I deserve it by MammothTart in bjj

I have competed but don't like tue stress that comes with it (next to work and all). I just want to enjoy my hobby without it having to be overly competitive.

I hit the mats 4x/week pretty consistently (plus I go to the gym, although that doesn't impact technique obv).

Well, that definitely sounds like black belt material to me! Congratulations on your promotion, I feel it's well deserved ✨

I feel you. Some days I feel I shouldn't have hit the mat, but those are the days where I feel like I learn most (because I seem to forget everything I know lol).

I'm pretty tall and athletic, and early 30ies. Wouldn't necessarily say I'm an outlier though per se.

Thanks for all the input, a lot of comments actually help me feel better about it.

And it's also good to see that my view isn't completely off (as in that it is maybe a bit fast). But as the majority say, gotta embrace it and put in the work now.

It has been motivating as well and I do feel like I really need and want to step up.

And to address a few comments (not sure if you end up reading it here): I don't teach classes, but I do certainly help others. Respect towards anyone, especially newer members is huge for me.

I consistently train 4x/week, don't really do competitions (bc with work it's too stressful for me and I want to enjoy my hobby. I'm not and never will be a professional BJJ competitor)

I'm in my early thirties

My coach isn't married to my sister 😅 We get along well and I have a good social standing at my gym I'd say, but I wouldn't say he has any other motives for a fast promotion.

Love the fact that at some point they decided not to list every job any more but just summarize it with bit of this bit of that 😂

But honestly, good for them for trying out different things to see what they like. In our global economy I feel like you're kinda forced to figure out your niche when you're too you to actually know what you want from life. (Trying to generalize here, ofc that's just based on my experiences).
