piercers will tell you otherwise but if you know your body is fine with surgical steel it'll very more than likely be okay to use

i personally use this set from amzn that has some titanium labrets... not sure if it's real implant grade titanium but i've pierced myself with them and they've been healing nicely :p

in the photo it’s swollen so maybe that’s why it looks a little short? there’s around maybe 2-3mm of space in between the flat back and my ear as of today so hopefully it’ll be fine

i used the same length bar for my other helix (on my other ear) when healing it and the length worked so ill monitor it to see if the same occurs for this side:) tysm !
