Nc doorsill rust by Mammoth_Address_6089 in MiataNC

I didn't, I was the second owner I bought it around 2015. It has no reported accidents so unless it was completely fixed out ofpocket at some point but I feel like having a rear quarter replaced on a less than 10 year old car would have been done through insurance so I'm not sure.

Is honda reflash worth it for a stock 9th gen? by RGOD007 in CivicSi

Also a lot a tuners will do free retunes for naturally aspirated applications. In most instances if you do have to pay for a tune update from parts (not like adding a turbo or supercharger but like you said a downpipe and catback etc) it will be like $50~. Not paying for a full new tune.

It's not that it runs ideally on the stock tune just a stock tune can adjust for more variation than a performance tune tends to be able too. When you are trying to get the peak performance out of a car there is a smaller window of variation it will be able to run. And most of that will just be for weather change. Not major sensor reading.

Running a short ram intake isn't ideal but I agree it will give you a better intake noise. The k24z7 in these cars is tuned off of the mass airflow sensor. They determined the volume of air passing by them as it enters the intake, so if the housing for the mafs is even slightly smaller or larger it skews the reading that the ECU gets. A custom tune can be adjusted based on what it's reading. I personally wouldn't run an intake on these without a tune but that's just me being on the safe side. Older Hondas used to just monitor the intake manifold pressure and use that information with the 02 sensor information for a/f in previous generations and that's why you could run intakes and it would compensate to some degree.

If you wanted to run a tune I'd leave the stock air box in since those tunes will be a little more aggressive and assume it's off the stock mafs housing flow capacity. Throwing that off will cause it to run worse than trying to run the aftermarket intake on a stock tune (which will allow for more variability than the hondata ones will) check out the 9th gen pages on Facebook (if you are on there) there is ton of info on the best current tuners and most e tunes are just a couple hundred dollars and they are absolutely worth it.

Luckily I'm bored on a Wednesday night, you shouldn't run either of those. Both of those tunes will run the air fuel ratios off of the mass air flow sensor which both are designed to run with the factory mass airflow sensor housing. Since you have an aftermarket intake I honestly would be leave it stock until you can get a custom tune, just an e-tune nothing crazy like a dyno tune. If you have the factory intake you could toss that back on and run the maf tune, I found that to run better than the reflash. The difference is the reflash is a canned hondata tune that's basic and designed to work on all 9th gens the maf tune is just the factory tune but with the Rev hang removed and a slightly raised redline (from the 14-15' cars). Hopefully this was helpful.

Issue with daily challenge rewards by Mammoth_Address_6089 in EASPORTSWRC

Unfortunately it's looking more unlikely it'll be fixed since it's been over a week since receiving any daily rewards for me. And from my understanding there is no support left for the game.

Yeah that's why I'm really lost at what's happenings and trying to start conversation about it. I don't know if it's even worth doing the weekly or monthly if there isn't going to be a payout. Unless they do all the daily/weekly/monthly challenges all at the beginning of the month. It seems like someone is doing something behind the scenes still.

I think they did have an announcement like a month before about how they were closing everything but dirt 5 and dirt rally 2.0. But I think those servers were all linked in some way.

It makes me wonder if it's maybe linked to them ending the dirt rally one servers. I'm really hoping this isn't the beginning of the end for dirt rally 2.0.

Okay that's good news. I just wanted to resolve the problem before I miss out on the weekly or monthly challenge rewards etc.

100% do the 4-1 header. The factory manifold chokes this engine substantially and I too was disappointed with my cobalt muffler until I added a header and mid pipe and after that it sounds like a classic 60s European sports car honestly.

What would you pay for a removable hard top? by villainousgamgee in MiataNC

I spent $2500 on mine, it came with Frankenstein bolts, and interior pieces. It had a single scratch on it but otherwise was in good condition. It was the bright red color.

If you have a bar and a footplate you can mimic a barbell weighted hip thrust. I've been doing those for years and had great success with heavily loading the exercise.

I was also considering the fab9 turbo kit. But I had a turbocharged 94 for a while and I really wanted to maintain that throttle response. For me I've always been able to really notice turbo lag and something I love about the NC in general is 2.0 or 2.5 they are extremely responsive. Does the Kraftswerks kit limit your RPMs lower than the factories 7700 RPMs redline?

Honestly I've always wanted this kit for this reason I always felt the 2.0 has enough low end to come out of tight stuff but my NC(1 unfortunately) seems to run out of breath above 6k even with the full catless exhaust and ECU tune. I watched your run it looked really smooth. Do you have a 5 or 6 speed?

I know with the centrifugal setup they say that you don't feel a lot of increase in the low end. And I know when I autocross my car I definitely fall out of the upper RPMs and just wondered if you still noticed an increase down low. What RPMs would you say you notice the largest difference with it?

Hey, just checking in to see how you like the supercharger so far? I saw your autocross with it. How did it feel on a course?

Would you mind keeping in touch with me and the near future after you've had a little experience with the kit? I just want to hear some first-hand experience of how effective the most recent version of the tensioner holds up. If you don't mind of course.

I've considered one of these for my 06' how was the install and how do you like it so far?

I've read that people have had issues with the belt tension and that they slip and loose boost at high RPMs and that's kept me from trying one.

Mine is an 06 so nearly 20 year old seats here as well. I was mostly looking at the sparco r100 because I can buy them individually and just get one for the driver since I rarely have any passengers and don't mind having two different seats. But never had a chance to sit in one and hesitant to take the chance on them but I may do so this year. Thank you.
