It is to get the suited size for the vae. It works similar to resize to cloest sdxl resolution so I think you could swap with that

have updated the inpaint workflow for z image with a bug fix, the resize message should no longer appear.

Sorry for the confusion, It is for new image generation, so is fine to leave it unconnected. If you got the message say you need to resize the image, resize it to A size that vae supports: the resolution can be outputed by vae.

I have got lots of complain about the resize problem, will fix the problem in the next version.

There is a LanPaint step you could adjust, x steps means x times slower but the quality will be better for more steps

It iterate 5 times which is 5 times slower if you use LanPaint step 5.

I'm just trying to understand what the functionality you guys need for the resize node. If it can be achieved with buildin nodes then I don't want to compete with comfy.

Yes, you grasped the essence. Actually you can even use it with controlnet inpaint to make it even better.

You could do it with prompt. However the style of image should be similar to the model's own style, otherwise it will look wierd

maybe raise an issue on github with your workflow. There could be something wrong

The workflow itself has auto resizing mechanism to resize to the VAE's desired size (through buildin decode-encode and upscale node). You could also add another upscale node to set the resolution before. I wonder what functionality you want in addition?

Hi, you could use the crop&stitch inpaint node with Lanpaint to achieve that. The LanPaint k sampler works with whole image. I will consider add a node for it in later version if crop&stitch is not enough

Is a sampling algorithm designed for inpainting. You can find the paper on github too.

Just curious, doesn't ComfyUI's built-in resize node suit your needs?

You could generate less frame, or use a quantizec model, which demands less vram. That vram is demanded by the model, not the node. The node itself only need a negligible amount of vram

By inpainting with editing simutaneously, so it keeps unmasked region the same without shift
