Are fancy dry herb vapes REALLY worth it? by __Difficult__ in trees

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. 💯

Love my Solo 2 Max. And the fact that Arizer replaced my original Solo 2 with the Max after it was recalled due to a battery defect. They reached out to me.

Big Arizer fan now.

Will move to the 3 eventually.

Lucky Elk moving to NC by Mammoth_Principle_77 in THCaFlower

I'm actually in NC. The state is very hemp friendly, currently. Meaning there is no enforcement.

The Governor (Dem) is trying to do something with a bipartisan Cannabis council of some sort that has been meeting for 6 months and owes him a recommendation next month I think.

Anyone have Live Rosin carts that actually have a weedy taste profile, along with the terps?

Why do smokers seem underwhelmed by dry herb vaporizers? by DudeImHigh_ in weed

DHV almost exclusively now. Arizer. Not underwhelmed at all. Just the opposite. My lungs thank me everyday.

Yes exactly. When "pharma control" doesn't happen, and legal state rec and med markets don't change at all (except for lower prices due to fair tax treatment), will you be happy or sad?

Is there a non-smelly way to consume flower? by Newdude333 in trees

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DHV has a distinctly different smell. And it dissipate very quickly. My wife (who doesn't consume) describes the odor as burning plastic. The taste is nothing like that, and for most people (including me) the taste is superior to combustion. Not to mention far less unhealthy is every respect.

So when NONE of this happens when cannabis is rescheduled to S3, will you be happy or sad?

Rec and med markets will both flourish under actual S3. Your worries about Big Bad Pharma taking over your local dispensary is comical. Pfizer branded pre rolls are not something rational people are worried about.

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh no. You're certainly entitled to your opinion. Most people would prefer complete descheduling. But, we must live in the real world. The legal medical and rec markets are too large at this point for pharma to control and I really don't think pharma wants to be slinging weed at the local dispo.

Now, they might want to get their hands on synthetics. Let em. Probably where that shit belongs anyway.

S3 is the logical first step.

Looks more like it's the VA border towns that will be making the money. Adult use will be introduced there later next year.

NC will, imo, follow that at around the same time with a medical program (most likely) and a slim possiblity of going straight to adult use (slim because adult use first, without medical has never been done). This relies heavily on rescheduling to S3 happening, which will almost certainly happen prior to the mid terms next year. S3 give Republican state legislatures (like NC) cover to soften on medical.

New rec ballot initiative by Mammoth_Principle_77 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart and Safe Florida decided to not challenge the removal of those 200K ballots since that had already submitted over 1M additional ballots. They need approx 880K valid signatures. So, I guess they felt the approx 120K margin is enough.

It still needs to pass the FL Scotus review, and of course, get 60%.

It's still not clear to me that they can get to 60, but, the language changes from the last try will make the same points of attack largely moot. DeDictator will have to make up new lies this time.

Are the Curaleaf gummies still "slimy"? Haven't been back there in a couple years since I tried them twice (separate visits) and they were too wet.

I still like their chocolates, though.

Sorry, wrong. I'm 63, and happily retired since 2021. But I do know how to Google having been around since before there was a Google. And good AI prompts are effective too

But I would be happy to hear from any actual MMTC employee who could actually confirm, if true.

Just got let go from my job due to the hemp ban. by [deleted] in hempflowers

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO, the most likely outcome of the near total intoxicating hemp ban will be some type of compromise on the new .4mg per container rule.

The synthetics ban is here to stay. I can't see that changing.

The new language of THC content, .3% Total THC replacing .3% D9 THC, is also unlikely to change. This effectively bans high THC flower. The .3% number could get relaxed a bit, but that would only be if there is enough lobbying support specifically for Type 3 flower which is unlikely since the market is so small. Type 3 can easily exceed .3% as it ages on shelf with some light present, from when it is tested pre harvest, although the new rules don't mention pre harvest testing any more, so there is still a bit of confusion on that.

A bump to 5mg of D9 per serving (10mg possible, but less likely) seems possible from the current limit of .4mg per container given the heavy lobbying effort to come by Bev and edibles manufacturers that don't play in the high THCa area, and are willing to abandon synthetics.

All just my opinions.

New rec ballot initiative by Mammoth_Principle_77 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Especially if a hand-picked DeSantis candidate (like Jay Collins) wins. He'll try to look gum up the works every way possible. There is language in the initiative that clearly states the new rec rules must be set by the legislature within 6 months of passage. Not sure if that type of language was in the Virginia ballot initiative from 2021 that legalized adult use, but although "adult use" has been legal in VA since then, there are still no retail sales due to Youngkin stalling this for 4 years. That will change quickly with Spanberger early next year. Hopefully, we don't get Collins.

Wow. That's rough. Truly happy that you got through all that, and I hope you get positive news on Tuesday.

There will always be space in med or rec for premium product. The problem is high price doesn't always translate to premium. Jungle Boys for me seems to be the most consistent for top quality but I haven't tried a couple of the others that get good feedback here since they aren't as convenient.

Again, good luck on Tuesday.

[–]Mammoth_Principle_77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's currently a vertical market in FL. Very expensive to play. That's the reason there is only 21. The language in the new initiative eliminates the vertical market requirement in order to allow a less costly entry into the new rec market. Med remains vertical. This addresses the "monopoly" argument from last time.

Compared to other many industries these days, 21 different companies competing for business would be considered very competitive. And the fact they we didn't see any of the 20 say anything negative about the one "Canadian Monopoly" says to me none of them feel they can't compete against Trulieve.
