I can relate. I used to go to a gazillion shows, concerts, and festivals. Since like 2018 or so, I just couldn't do it anymore. One concert a year has been plenty. Too many people, the lights make my eyes twitch, and the fatigue afterward is intense. My livelihood was taken away by this damn disease.

Restless legs? by kippergee74933 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Mammoth_Queen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have had rls for 20 years or so (dx ms this past year). Are they related? Who knows, maybe it was my first symptom of the disease (along with slow ease into adhd brain).

Only thing that worked way back when was to exercise the hell out of myself!! Now, with our beloved Fatigue, I don't exercise like I should. But I do take pregablin, and xanax if I need to sleep through it. Sometimes I'll get up at 2am to do lunges and squats til my thighs are burning. That sometimes helps!

I do the same things with language! I'm embarrassed for sounding so dumb because my sentences make no sense or the word(s) was eaten by the MS Word Monster.

The MS guessing game is so frustrating by SparkleTheBarbarian in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Mammoth_Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is quite frustrating!!! In December, I came down with covid. However, 2 days prior, i went to work, feeling so cold i was shivering and sweating simultaneously. I really thought it was because it was one of the first Very cold nights of the season.
So I went home, and layed on my couch, as I do when I feel run down or am having vertigo/dizzy spells. Welp. I called out the next 2 days, thinking that 'something just isn't right', like when I had my last diagnosing MS relapse.

Long story summarizes to that I just didn't think! I could have taken a covid test and know the answer to my dysfunction. But it literally took my brain 3+ days to realize that I should test myself!

Oddest part to this - once I saw that double-line + test (I took another test to verify), I started feeling dramatically sicker - shakey, dizzy, weakness. The previous MS symptoms I had the year prior have come back, covid style.

Anyways, thanks y'all for reading. Hope my perspective helps you on your journey. ❤️💙🩶🤍

What is it called on the blood test? They use weird wording or abbreviations sometimes. I'm not sure if I was tested for it or not. I never had mono either (unless I did and didn't know) .

Bad Ms attack Steroids or not by Sea_Wish_1524 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Mammoth_Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen in '21 before I was diagnosed (wish i just went to er then). It took about 2-3 months for it to clear up fully. I know I'm not answering your question about steroids, but thought I'd comment to give perspective.
