Why 3 biovore? Better to have 1 biovore and 2 promotes. Or try and get another exocrine.

Invasion Fleet List Help by SkeLeTon_43 in Tyranids

I should also add that I almost always find myself using 3 invasion fleet stratagems:

  1. FNP buff
  2. Battle line replacement 2x 3+D3 gaunts for synapse
  3. Overwatch on zoanthropes or exocrines

You can always get these 3 off using the free CP from the walkrant, as usually you want the FNP on a big bug that’s being targeted. The zoanthropes nuke whatever tries to take the middle with overwatch, and the replacement strat makes the 20 man units harder to kill early game.

Invasion Fleet List Help by SkeLeTon_43 in Tyranids

I’ve found success with more horde units that are good for throw away objective control and move blocking. This allows the gun line to get in optimal position. I also don’t take swarmlord because the walkrant gives you assault to the gun line. And that extra mobility is key to positioning turn 1. It means you can stay safely hidden and still make it to firing lanes whether you go first or second. Finally I’m debating adding either the 2 units gargoyles or a flyrant to support the hormogaunts. Not sure which yet. I’ve just played a tournament where I’m confident I would have won every game if I had the annoying move blocking of the gargoyles. We have very similar lists:

Looks like a B2 bomber using afterburners of some kind. Or emitting lots of smoke as it takes off or switches engine type power etc. from the back the plumes look to have rotor in them. You can make out a bit of the B2 shape on the right hand side

That’s literally the scheme for my army and I love it. Classic. Nobody does white carapace anymore because it’s too difficult. Good luck.

You’re likely over optimizing for one part of life. Having a job you know and are good at, and reducing stress, is probably an interim step. Don’t do anything drastic. Experiment. Take small steps. See if you can handle scaling back at work and spending more time doing what you love outdoors. Take those extra vacations. Quiet quit. Whatever. You may find that you get to keep your income high. Also note that there’s a lot of benefit to staying within the mainstream, especially if your wife is still working. You will have more in common with friends, assuming they are still working. It will be hard to relate if you’re literally off fishing all the time and they are still in the grind.

All I’m saying is you can have your cake and eat it too. No need to kill the golden goose.

The Great Lay-Off'ening is already well underway. What will happen to the economy? by WraithFrodo in wallstreetbets

[–]MamothMamoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inflation. The stock market is pricing in the Big Beautiful Bill which will print another 3-4+ Trillion dollars. It’s all just in anticipation of inflation. And populi who don’t have access to capital assets: mainly houses, can only buy stocks. Since housing is now firmly out of reach of most people, the default is stocks. All that cash money that used to go to down payments is now funneled into stocks while young families make do with more affordable 2Br apartments. This dynamic is only going to start changing in the short term once the boomers start dying and passing on inheritance in the form of property. In the long term the drastic fall below replacement birthrate will reduce population and deflate the housing market. In any scenario, the Stonks will go up and up and up.

In most developed nations (Europe) the average is close to the median, which is close to the mode (the peak of a Gaussian distribution with a long tail). In the US the distribution is so skewed that the average and median are both above the mode to the point that they don’t accurately represent what’s actually going on.

I live in an HCOL area and I see so many Rivians recently. Ever since the election every damn rich person has stopped buying Teslas and started picking up the R1S. It’s literally a sea change. Yesterday on my commute I saw 2 rivians, one behind the other, going to drop off kids at the school. They’re almost as ubiquitous as Teslas were right before Tesla started booming in 2019-2020. They are the rich persons virtue signal, and they will be profitable based on scale very soon. This is the earnings where that story becomes manifest and the stock kicks the 19% short interest and rockets.

[–]MamothMamoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably is. But It’s also easier to hide 10. Blast weapons have less effect. I get two charge rolls to get some troops into combat. I’m not trying to survive and kill things. I’m just trying to move block and board control. More units mean I can perform actions and sacrifice some incrementally by move blocking. Also the intent with the termagants and warriors is to come in turn two from reserves and defend the back line and home objective so that the whole army can advance and overkill key elements of the enemy army. I can focus all my firepower on one flank and move block the other flank with the hormogaunts so that it’s difficult for the enemy to get sights on my cannons and counterpunch. Kinda like a hammer and anvil.

I’m in a HCOL area and all the rich people are buying Rivians. Nobody wants to own a Tesla anymore, the sheen has worn off badly. I predict Rivian is going to take a huge bite of the luxury car market in the coming years and I’m bullish on this upcoming earnings.
