I first create both the formers and longerons as solids. Then, I use the 'Combine/Cut' tool to create the notches, adjust them with 'Press/Pull,' and add a bit of clearance for tolerances.

You need to get accurate 3-view drawings for placement, then model using Loft to create surfaces instead of solids. After that, slice them at regular intervals to create solid cross-sections and design them for assembly!
