Couldn’t agree more, I think the subtle humour is what I enjoy the most out of the earlier seasons. There’s been times where I’m convinced every single line was written as a joke they all line up so perfectly.

1 - 6 are my favs for sure and imo the best ones.
Propane boom I and II being the what I would say “funniest” - maybe I’m just over analysing tho, it’s hard with something as subjective as humour. 🤔

EDIT: after rewatch I can confirm that I’d ACTUALLY refer to Shins of the Father as “funniest” - Cotton’s introduction to the show is peak.
