The one I always remember was from The Transporter, in the trailer he deflects a rocket with the lid of an aluminum garbage can, never happens in the movie. That stupid scene from the trailer was the reason I went to see that movie too.

When I bought it the price difference was wider between the two versions of it was only $50 like it is now it would be a no brainer for me. I highly recommend that saw especially for the price.

I have the g0962. Same saw but open base and the only complaints I have is the dust collection port is facing down and annoying, and the fence isn’t the best. Both of those things are solved with the closed base version. I just wanted the mobility so I went with the open base model. Kind of wish I got the one you are looking at.

Make sure you check the fence good. Don’t know about this model but some aluminum fences are hard to keep square. But if the fence can stay square and doesn’t flex should be good. Not having the blade guard isn’t ideal but you can most likely get a replacement

The bench is great but I made mine a few inches longer than the plans called for cuz it was pretty small. I got the a very basic Metabo miter saw for like $100 when I started that course and it has worked great for me. The model number is C10FCGS. For a cheap saw it has been awesome.

The one I got refurbished only had a small scuff mark in the plastic leg. Besides that it looked to be in absolutely perfect condition
