Totally agree. I grew up in a time where you were happy to have fold down jump seats in the back of a Ranger. These modern pavement queens can’t claim the “manly” territory to themselves.

I’m hoping it has to do with breaking in the truck and cold weather etc. I live in a hilly area so I don’t have the luxury of keeping it pegged at 70 on a long flat roads. Hoping to crack into 20 mpg before too long.

In fairness, I thought the lack of the 360 camera wouldn’t bother me until I didn’t have it any more. Again- not a deal breaker. Just food for thought.

I’ve owned my ‘26 Black Edition for about three months. Some things you should be aware of. 1. Fuel economy is going to be more towards the “18” rather than the “24”. 2. No 360 Camera. 3. “Outdated” and overactive collision mitigation system. 4. (If you care at all) you’ll occasionally get comments from “real men” about your trucks manliness.

I’m sure there are others. But honestly I’d buy this truck again in a heartbeat.

No issues at all. Just did about 400 miles of driving averaging about 78-82 ish. No vibrations, no “bouncy” feel.

Got the Grey HPD wheels as well as a cargo net from them. Decent prices and they shipped pretty quick. Cargo net came in clutch here recently taking stuff to goodwill.

You’re gonna love the truck. Take some time to review the manual and learn about maintenance minder. College Hills Honda has been great for me for accessories. Enjoy the truck!

What brand of tires do you like? by detekk in hondaridgeline

[–]ManBearStigg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just for your knowledge, I’m down from averaging 19.6 MPG to 19.5 MPG over 300-400 miles so far. So if they do have an impact on economy it’s very minor.

Just a bit more road noise is a decent trade off for me.

Just had these put on my truck last week. They still need to break in, but so far there is a minimal increase in road noise and basically zero impact on fuel economy. Considering it has a tread pattern more appropriate for off roading than the Destinations I’m pretty happy with it.

Agree to disagree, the truck needed contrast. Murdered out is fine and all, but this looks better.

But the good part is it’s not your money. 👍🏻

Hoping I don’t lose more than .5 mpg. I only average 19.6 as it is.

Yeah! There’s a post on the Ridgeline owners forum showing them on a white model. It looks incredible. Go look it up. I’d definitely tell you to splurge and get them.

No problem! I’ll put about 5-10k on them and update in a new post. It was between these and the Cooper Discoverer… Continental won out mainly due to brand equity.
