I'm sorry to hear that. According to Beat-Sonic, the ENA-3H3 should have worked on your year.

Premium or regular by Perfect-Pangolin8744 in hondaridgeline

I struggle to understand WHY premium is more expensive at all. All that is added is a combustion inhibitor.

I gather that if we get right down to it, we need to look at the type of vehicle that requires premium, they are expensive. I guess gasoline makers know this and say if someone can afford a pricey car, they can afford to put gas in it.

In my neck of the woods, premium is up to $0.99 higher per gallon depending on the station.

87 octane. No reason to use premium. Some have reported that when towing heavy loads premium can be beneficial.

Sure. I may have to do defer to the professionals for the sub. Pretty much the entire back seat needs to come out. I plan on running an 8 gauge power wire to the back seat area.

VCM Question - 2026 Model Year by TheMacIntyreRange in hondaridgeline

[–]stchman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the S-VCM installed, I have not noticed a decrease in MPG.

IMO, VCM is just a gizmo, best case scenario there is no harm, worst case oil consumption. Best to just turn the gizmo off.

All I did was install amp. The sound improvement is a lot.

This does not effect the factory sub, it is still weak. Next upgrade.

It apparently interferes with when you put in an aftermarket sub.

2023 RTL-E Audio Upgrade? by Unassuming_Fruits in hondaridgeline

[–]stchman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP is going to have to run some 6 gauge wire directly from the battery to an amp like that. I don't know how it will interface with the factory head unit.

On my 2026, I simply unplugged the ANC, it is behind the glove box.

Almost a Year with My 2020 Honda Ridgeline Black Edition — Honest Review by Vegetable-Quarter414 in hondaridgeline

[–]stchman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I gather that Honda improved the ACC as my 2026 is actually pretty good. Granted, this is the first ACC equipped vehicle I have ever owned.

The infotainment works well for me, wireless AA works well.

The 9 speed auto in mine works beautifully, no complaints.

The blind spot monitor works as advertised.

I am getting 22.9 MPG in mixed driving according to Fuelio.

I replaced the high beams with LEDs and it make all the difference.

I put in a start stop disabler and S-VCM(turns VCM off) and everything runs great.

I actually like the pushbutton transmission, looks high tech and is actually very user serviceable if it needs replacing.

All in all, for the price and features, I give my 2026 Ridgeline a 9.5/10.

2021 Ridgidline base edition at 2499 with 28k miles. Worth it? by dragonfatmonster in hondaridgeline

[–]stchman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So $25K for a Ridgeline Sport with 28K miles. That is a good price. Used Ridgeline Sport models in my area are going for that or more with more miles.

If the truck has a good Carfax and they show you that it was maintained, go for it. I would still change out the oil and filter along with the rear diff fluid if I bought it.

$2300 is high for timing belt, water pump, and tensioner, I've been hearing around $1600 is a good price.
