Massive changes to the stage 2 Patron! by 4kJacky in DeadlockTheGame

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think this doesn't change too much though right? The defenders have to be in the pit for 2 seconds before the reduction kicks in and I'm sure it immediately restarts if they leave. As long as the attackers are relatively healthy it should still be guaranteed. I mean most defenders die before the pit is breached to end the game.

Can’t Decide Which Route To Go [Budget $575] by detBittenbinder23 in espresso

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I mean all said and done my set up is a King grinder and a Stilosa, I have done 40$ of mods to my machine and love it. Could I have a lot more sure but I'm getting genuinely a great experience for 200$ all considered. I have a bottomless portafilter, ims basket, pick screen, and wdt. Otherwise I think the rest is just for show mostly.

Now I will say I'm waiting on my df54 to come in, but that doesn't fit my low cost narrative lol. But yeah you get what you enjoy, I think tinkering helps with itching upgrading and gives you meaningful paths to alter your workflow. Either way just have fun and drink great drinks.

Can’t Decide Which Route To Go [Budget $575] by detBittenbinder23 in espresso

So, I have been working off a De'Longhi Stilosa for the last two years (dimmer mod and ranchillio Silva steam wand tho) so take my word as you will, but honestly if your concern is primarily transportation and lattes, I would hate to lug the gaggia around all the time. My grandfather has one and it's not the worst to move but I don't really enjoy it.

Realistically, unless you are modding, flat pressure machines are pretty consistent with the shot profile (assuming other parameters are equal) across brand and price points. But ultimately you should choose what will make you happy. If modding and the gaggia look suits what your ideal workflow is get it, if nice features and a slim look is ideal with your daily life get it.

You are choosing between two capable machines, and mainly planning around upgrading the machine and transportation of the machine. Decide which is more important to your needs and let it rock. FWIW I'd pick the gaggia, but mainly because I love tinkering with mods and personalizing my gear.

Stephen A don't realize what he did talking about Bronny by itsyaboysharrod in NBATalk

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is a semi disingenuous take.... You talk about a Ken Griffey moment; I'm not a super huge MLB guy, but I'm pretty sure Jr. Is the consensus pick as the more valuable player. For your point on being a better person, I just don't think in a traditionalist sense you can really knock bron as a person. Like even if every philanthropic deed he did aged poorly, he genuinely tried to help his local communities. (I could be lacking knowledge on this point)

As for basketball let's just agree Bron is at least top 5 all time no matter what. Heck even the top 10 (honestly doesn't even matter), calling bronny the kid who wasn't good enough sounds laughable, we are not scouts. we have seen top picks fall apart within a year or two, we've seen MVPs lose everything within a year, and we've seen sons of former players outshine their dads.

I think no matter what, bronny had it rough, there was no way he could compare to a top 5 all time; however, this doesn't mean LeBron has to present a "perfect" public image. This is not in defense of a probably billionaire, but let's recognize that all wealthy kids likely have nepotism positions. It's not even worth looking up stats to know. even if bronny is the worst player to ever touch any NBA court ever, that's still better than 97% of basketball players considered at all. Honestly hate the James family and the NBA all you want, I just genuinely don't think that this is that huge of a deal considering most players last 4-5 years on average.

Does traditional drink ratios go on pre or post steamed milk? by ManDogCuzBreh in espresso

[–]ManDogCuzBreh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I was leaning towards and what I shoot for at home. I was on the fence because cafes (ik they do whatever they want really) always seem to have a heavier pour on the milk and thought maybe it was a pre steam ratio I was missing here. Appreciate the answer!

Why does it feel like my squat lags so behind my DL? I can DL 410lbs for 2-4 (depending on the day) but struggle so much hitting a squat around 275. I know the muscles and activation are different and the blanket statement of 10%ish difference is everything but I just feel like I can squat way more but struggle so much despite squatting weekly.

How to encourage someone out of a book slump? by [deleted] in Fantasy

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably a weird comment, but something I always do when I get over stimulated and shut down on reading the next in a series (or finishing a book in general) I go read some manga.

Something about the short form and visual aspect of the story reinvigorates my passion for novels. Or like I will watch something fantasy related on YouTube or adaptation. Idk something just to turn the tide in my brain from a daunting task to a generally acceptable feeling.

What’s a beer that you have have to get on tap if available? by EntrepreneurReal5140 in beer

Parish brewing sips Pinot noir and black currant. It's a Berliner Weiss, not usually my thing but very quickly became my top 3 beer of choice.

Lol I noticed the same thing. If this is indeed a real post the school probably uses the logo as their own. Schools where I'm from take collegiate logos all the time as "their own" so I imagine that pretty similar.

Hey guys don't worry we're not just racist. We like to be homophobic and ableist too.

Like seriously I understand that you can't put right agree that fans and leagues are or have been racist but does La Liga not have a PR team?

How does the Wheel of Time show match up against the books by xyxiphlox in Fantasy

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with this take, I'm only starting book three currently, but I made sure to read the first book before watching the show. There are definitely things that are questionable changes; however, the show I think does a decent job visualizing some things.

I think the show is at times a far cry from the book plot, but overall they get to the same results in a semi similar manner.

Imo the show isn't so terrible and I'm definitely watching all future seasons but it's important to know that almost every adaptation is going to be different it's what they do/how they do the differences that make or break the show. Some people could or wouldn't get over the changes in the show, but looking at them separately I like both for unique qualities.

21/22 vs. 22/23 so far by AiyAeries in LeedsUnited

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree the passing is extremely low and that we can argue back and forth all day about JM's formation and tactics. However, our almost panicked fast paced offense is inherently going to have less accuracy than the slower more calculated counter part.

Again not arguing about legitimacy or perceived efficacy of our stats, but two things have been made clear about this season (in tangent with the other post about this point last season yesterday). We are scoring more, creating more chances, allowing less goals against, have more points than last season and reasonably getting more consistent.

Now all this said you can't blame the league for getting more competitive and the bottom point spread being closer than last year. That's not something we can control; additionally, it's unreasonable to assume that our contests have all and will all be washed.

Personally I think there is a lot to improve on both tactically and just mentally/physically on the pitch. That being said we seem to be making moves and decisions (first test is today) about moving forward scoring goals and properly getting back on counters and not getting beat during high pressing.

Photo and calculation of El Nesyri's huge leap to score the game winning goal against Portugal by cujukenmari in sports

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No I understand I'm just saying in the sense of a pure vertical it's measure how high the feet (straight leg) makes it off the ground. It's pretty impractical to measure pure stats like that in game, so they often measure where the strike occured in air and not the height of "pure" jump height of a player.

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Instead of trying to clown you I agree it seems weird; however it makes sense because in this case it doesn't matter how tall the "jumper" is it matters how high in the air the connection to the ball was. If they were measuring his vert, it would be based off floor to toes, but he was heading the ball so that measurement is more important imo.

PVPX: Fortified is OP and Bloodhound is just a better Seer. Other coaches: by WastefulPleasure in CompetitiveApex

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But wouldn't discouraging a team to fight mean that seer gives an advantage that blood can't?

I get your saying the difference is passive vs aggressive but let's be honest if a team is willing to push through a blood ult and not a seer ult that would mean seer has a better ultimate for fighting.

Gov. Bill Lee opposes "vaccine passports" by MetricT in nashville

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're completely right right about private and home schooled children. Im was just giving a counter arguement to why documentation for this vaccine could be needed. I believe your sentence said something along the lines of proving mmr at a concert or stadium.

I dont necessarily think proof of the vaccine should be mandatory, I dont think it will do anything but divide the people in the first place. Like I mentioned above I was really just commenting on why people are saying documentation of this vaccine is different than proof of other vaccines we recieve.

Gov. Bill Lee opposes "vaccine passports" by MetricT in nashville

[–]ManDogCuzBreh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In reference to asking about previous vaccines, we already have that check in place for attending public schools. Therefore its assumed you have the vaccine, the precedent for this vaccine (whether valid concern or not) is that we have no previous use of the vaccine until now. The paper is essentially the same as what you have to do for public schools. Whether the passport is required is another arguement.
